Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 13.71/day in the week to Aug 19 → 19.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Really like Planet Zoo for their animal models plus variety of species, the building options, and freedom. But the game doesn't pose much challenge once you get through the campaign and timed modes, and even then the difficulties in those modes are limited to money, animal welfare, guest needs, timing, and staff management. I know there could be more features and realism added to make things better for those who want to face hardship in the game. Hopefully PZ2 will have harder challenges. Currently if my lion pride escapes, it doesn't affect the zoo much once they are rounded up. But in reality if a zoo has a public animal escape, that zoo is dragged in the news for months sometimes. Or if there is an attack on a keeper or guest, that zoo deals with the aftereffects for years. Could also add where staff quit or can't work for reasons besides being unhappy with salary or workload, such as moving out of the area or maternity leave. Just more random events to make it feel more real would help. Also, seriously disapprove of the animal aging for some species. Like wolves are not reaching sexual maturity and starting to look like adults at age 4 like the game claims, as one of the more studied species, we know they can breed as young as a year old but typically start looking for mates closer to 2 years old in many cases. There are multiple species I don't understand the inaccuracies of aging, like wolves at least tolerate their adult offspring. For example, bears such as brown bears and polar bears don't tolerate their offspring by 2 or 3 years old and should be separated, but the game allows them to live together for 6-7 years and the young bear stays looking like a cub the whole time, but in the real world after just 2 years they're physically big enough to live alone, even if they don't reach breeding age until about 6 years old. And even more inaccurate, the boar bear can be kept with the cubs up to 6 years. Please at least make the physical maturity and sexual maturity happen separately for these species. The African wild dog and coyote have a lot more appropriate of aging for a canid, and the sloth bear has appropriate age for physical maturity for a bear. Praying that they fix the inaccuracies in PZ2, or that modding can at least fix it. Lately the community made challenge to follow AZA guidelines for the animals has made things a bit more interesting, but if you aren't creative and have hours to play, it's not so fun. I've seen that PZ2 will make the building side of things easier even for people with limited time or creativity. But after so many hours of just managing the basics and having a huge income to the point fines aren't an issue and education reaches close to 5 stars, there isn't much else and often you just start to lag from the guest numbers. I love this game and have fun most of the time, but I really hope PZ2 is better in terms of realism.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The construction system can be difficult and takes some time to get used to, but the gameplay itself is really enjoyable. A few things in the game feel a bit lame, but overall it’s a solid management game. If you like management games or animals, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. 7/10

Since i loved this type of games since kids i recommended the game...BUT only if you can get it on sale for $5 or less. I enjoyed looking at something new (in this case animals) from outside of my country. It's a shame that pretty much 2/3 of the content is locked behind DLC, which makes the game feel less varied. Even so, I still enjoyed my time playing it.
