Reviews
The Game is incredible, the graphics is great but we are not gonna talk about the FRICKING PATHING SYSTEM
Planet Zoo is a great game. The customisation options are fantastic, the animals look and act realistically enough for me, and I like the way planning a zoo and then trying to carry out my plan makes me think deeply about the real-life ethics of animal welfare and workers' rights. Career Mode is extremely frustrating, but for some reason I keep being drawn back to it even though most of the scenarios aren't that enjoyable and Myers' questionable demands have me effing and jeffing every time. You do not need to touch Career Mode if you prefer sandbox gameplay, and you will probably learn more from watching let's players than reading official documentation. The first three Career Mode scenarios are tutorials and worth trying, but they did not teach me most of the things I needed to know about the game. What they do best is help you figure out whether the game is suitable for your needs, and show you how well it will perform on your hardware once you've built a big zoo. This is very useful information because starting a zoo from scratch during your first session will max out the Steam refund window before you even know whether you like or understand the game. This is a game that can help players develop forward thinking, frustration tolerance and resilience without requiring fast reaction times or physical accuracy. I would include it on my list of games that are educational in a broad sense (despite some liberties being taken), and can be enjoyed safely by children (if they are able to understand the mechanics). The base game has plenty of content and is an absolute steal at sale price. Personally I got all the DLC at once because I prefer to buy completed games at the end of their life cycle and play on older hardware. I would probably not have paid full price for this if I had been aware of the game when it was newer and still had an unknown number of DLCs coming at unknown intervals, but it's definitely worth getting now if you've never played it. Watch some YouTube videos and decide whether the gameplay looks fun to you. Mac users: Planet Zoo is currently running flawlessly in Crossover on an M1 Mac with 16GB RAM, If you're an Apple Silicon user on the fence about buying either Planet Zoo or Crossover, I would heartily recommend getting both during sale season. It's not very complicated to set up – you just have to install Steam into a "bottle" and then install Planet Zoo from within Steam. The DLC and mods from Steam Workshop work as expected, and it's possible to remap some of the key combos in-game if they don't feel intuitive to use with your mouse or trackpad. Frontier: My wishes for Planet Zoo 2 are improved pathing, native Mac support, fewer and more targeted Career Mode scenarios that provide useful knowledge, the option to exclude species that aren't already in my zoo when filtering habitat items by species, and a roadmap that tells us what's coming to the game and when – but you don't need to listen to me because I am perfectly happy with PZ1 and unlikely to be able to play PZ2 this side of 2030!
xYuта не стоит покупать даже со скидкой в 90%, отвратительный режим строительства + разрабы хотят бабки за контент который обязан быть в игре)))
非常好游戏,使我腱鞘炎
The building Tool is absolutely unusable. After 2 Hours pure frustration i am deleting the game.
