Should be a really good game, but QoL is horrible. Feels more like learning Adobe Illustrator than playing a game, which might be fine if you already have a good idea of how to use the game's building mechanics or are willing to put a lot of time into learning it, but it is really annoying if not. I know its like that to provide a lot more creative possibilities, but it is also just clunky, unintuitive, and unnecessary at times. Even in the early tutorial missions, you'll be fighting the game trying to figure out how to put a basic exhibit on a platform without it floating in mid-air (re: the orangutan conservation mission... no 3 I think).
Bad.
bought it on 95% off and i think i would have been rather annoyed paying any more. i just dont have the patients for it, the controls were a nightmare other than that it was a good game. just not for me
i absolutely love this game!! the animals are amazing. i love that ur able to trade animals to other players!! however, like all frontier games they are incredibly hard to learn. there are no tutorials , no instructions on what functions to use. it took me a long long long time to learn how to play this! the enclosure building took soo long to learn, i actually dint play it for the first year i got it. which is the same as all the other frontier developments games, please put some more time and effort into tutorials for the planet zoo 2 and all frontier games!!!!
Feels like Rocket Engineer Tycoon ..... I miss the old school Zoo Tycoon this has way to much ♥♥♥♥ going on i don't feel like trying to learn. If you have autism this game might be for you tho. Not saying its a bad game just aint for me but i need to select downvote.
👍 Recommended | ⭐ 9/10 "I came for the cute animals... stayed for the 200 hours of 'one last habitat.' Planet Zoo is easily one of the best management games I've played. Every animal feels alive, and it's incredibly satisfying to watch a zoo you built from scratch become successful. The amount of customization is insane—you can spend hours perfecting a single exhibit and still have fun doing it. The path system can test your patience, and the learning curve is steeper than I expected. But once everything clicks, it's almost impossible to put the game down. If you enjoy city builders, simulation games, or just love animals, this is a must-play. Buy it on sale with a few DLCs, and you'll get hundreds of hours of entertainment. Pros: ✔️ Amazing animal AI and animations ✔️ Endless creativity and customization ✔️ Relaxing yet rewarding gameplay ✔️ Great replay value Cons: ❌ Path building can be frustrating ❌ DLC collection gets expensive 9/10 – My animals are happier than I am. Worth every minute. 🦁🐘🐼
Honestly I spent most of the time trying to make a decent square with railing and alining the paths to it. My zoo had 3 wolves and 2 leopards. I couldn't take the time to add more of them because the building mode was tedious and clunky. I recommend zoo tycoon 2 for those who want a game centered on the animals. This is a game to build for hours more than anything else.
u play on ur own no propley tutorial on how to play im lucky i got it for 12 euro cause for 40 not worth it
