I bought the hype, and now am sadly disappointed by the sequel. Planet of Lana 1 was fun, well-paced and took you on an exciting ride towards an emotionally satisfying end. The sequel is still visually stunning and the scoring is even better, but oh my god, is it boring. There are so many dead spots during each chapter, so many repeated mechanics. The puzzles would be just the right level of complexity for a fairly simple but satisfying experience, BUT THE CONTROLS are killing me—slow and inconsistent, making the tasks frustrating more than actually challenging. It’s such a shame! I love the characters, I really want to enjoy the cinematic experience, but I’m so bored and irritated by the gameplay.
Generyczne. Pierwsza część zachwycała świeżością i oryginalnością, ta już nie. Mogłoby jej nie być, nic by się nie wydarzyło.
Planet of Lana II is just as good, if not better than Planet of Lana I. It has more of everything. More story. More lore. More characters. New villians. New game mechanics and new breathtaking artscapes. I was locked in from beginning to end. It does end on a cliffhanger but I am going to assume that just means we will be getting a Planet of Lana III. It definitely left me wanting more.
