TL;DR - A great concept completely undone by terrible progression and bafflingly bad choices in level design. Do not buy this game or just refund it before 2 hours. It only gets worse after that. Things feel great at first and the level design feels solid, but the moment you reach the point where you're using the Tesla, the game grinds to a halt. The Tesla is slow and takes forever to upgrade. You never use the flamethrower again and are stuck grinding money to upgrade the Tesla. The third and last tool you get is a shovel, which after several hours with the Tesla, feels like the least climatic and the farthest step back possible. The level design in the middle to end of the game is miserable. You are points where you are so far from the nearest place to sell or regain heat that you're going to spend a bunch of time just running back and forth. This gets so tired so quickly. All of this could have been solved by just adding a way to regain heat in the shop. None of this yet touches on the poor performance issues. The game is slow during loads and freezes during autosaves. What should be a fun, relaxing, exploration game with incremental progression elements just ends up feeling like a cheap, quickly thrown together asset store slop.

Used the flamethrower only for a short period of the time... Then you are stuck with the teslagun for ages and its not even fun. Then comes the shovel... I thought it would be more fun, instead you are running around with a laser thingy and try to survive.

Too little content for the price. It gets boring after just a couple of hours; everything becomes repetitive after that.

The game is very addictive. My perfectionism didnt let me leave even small pieces of the snow in the caves! But actually the point of the game - draw a map, search every corner, find all the artifacts. And speaking of artifacts, it was soo easy (just make a map or follow a guide on the internet). I think you can complete the story and all of the achievements under 2 hours. I did in 4, cause, yeah, my perfectionism... So, I think it was a waste of time. Nothing really interesting or new in it. Just another game about digging and upgrading. Anyway, it is made very decent (but autosave still takes around 10 seconds :D ) So, buy it or not - it`s up to you!

Симулятор Сургута. А если честно то разрабам респект, очень сильно постарались над таким маленьким проектом

Очень приятно окунуться в холодную атмосферу игры, когда за окном пекло. Слегка освежает) Советую всем кто хочет просто расслабиться, включить на фоне сериал, и зарыться поглубже в снег, да бы отыскать сокровища и кости мамонта

Very nice game to decompress to.

"Hey, remember that game about digging a hole? Let's do that but make it ice instead of dirt. Oh, and there will be dirt sometimes too." That's it, that's the game. If you know the gameplay loop than you know what to expect, and if you don't go play [i] A Game About Digging A Hole [/i] and then come back here. Meltopia is fun, about 7-8 hours of gameplay from what folks are saying. Great to play with a video or something on in the background if you just wanna zone out for a while.
