Pirates Never Die

This is the only game that I have ever asked Steam for a refund. In its current state, the game is VERY broken.

[h3]Why am I qualified to write this review?[/h3] I was curious and took the bait, buying the game for $15.99 despite the one negative review and the surprising lack of information. Like many of you, I’ve spent a lot of time in games, especially survival and horror titles, and I put about 2.3 hours into this one. [h3]Pros[/h3] ✅ Love the idea of zombie pirates. [h3]Cons[/h3] ❌ The story doesn’t feel fleshed out in the early stages. You're searching for your missing brother, but that’s all the backstory you get. ❌ The controls are a little odd (**⬅️** to draw/sheath your weapon? And no, I don't mean the backspace. I mean the left arrow key. Really?). ❌ The game provides very little direction or guidance on what to do or how to do it. ❌ This game was released in early 2025, and there hasn’t been a single patch or update as of this review. ❌ Your character gets hung up on the environment easily, and there’s no jump ability to help maneuver around. [h3]Neutral[/h3] [list] [*] Graphics and textures are serviceable but could be higher quality. [*] This game is *dark*. I mean, really dark. To the point where you can’t always tell what you’re doing. I had to shoot a pig from a very specific angle just to see it. You are given glowing rocks to use similar to a glow stick, but it's still not great. [*] Movement is sluggish when your gun is drawn. [*] Ammo seems very scarce. I couldn’t find any more after looting the entire area. [*] Enemies take multiple shots to go down. Even headshots aren’t reliably effective. [*] 💾 Save System: Manual saves only at specific locations. [/list] [h3]Performance[/h3] I’m running the latest hardware and did not experience any performance issues. [h3]Bugs / Issues[/h3] 🐛 Pressing **Tab** opens/closes the inventory, but if you hit **Esc** (out of habit), the inventory becomes stuck open, and the game locks up. You’ll have to relaunch and restart from your last save. 🐛 Interacting with objects often requires you to recenter the camera using the right mouse button first. [h3]Final Thoughts[/h3] I’ve made it farther than any video I’ve seen online, but I’m currently stuck in the next area with very little ammo. I can’t figure out how to progress, and I’m barely 15 minutes in. I *want* to love this game. If the devs pick it up and polish it, it could absolutely become a hidden gem. But in its current state, it feels like something that shouldn’t even be in early access. [h3]My Rating[/h3] ⭐ 1/5 – Not Recommended (at this time)

Русский: Нет. Мультиплеер: Нет. Геймплей: Экшен / Хоррор Графика: Ну, в общем если опустить некоторые кривости, то выйдет хорошая картинка, но... Цена: 590 рублей. ЭЭЭЭ.... Нет. Не советую. Она не стоит своих денег по одной причине: Это не игра, а скорее не полированный проект с потенциалом, который зарыт очень глубоко. Eсли допилить - поправить логичность происходящего, поправить стрельбу итд, то можно продать ее рублей за 200-300 :D Очень много проблем. Спойлеры: [spoiler] Ты видишь игру? А она есть.
