Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So, I played Pillars 2 first - it just worked out that way - and then I came to Pillars 1. I know, I know, you shouldn't go backwards with games for a lot fo reasons, but I was very curious about the game as whole, and a lot of the lore that was hinted in Pillars 2. I was very much into starting a character in 1 and seeing how it carries into 2. Of course, there were clearly a lot of improvements between 2 and 1, so going backwards, some things were a little bit clunky or unfamiliar. On the whole, I was really, really impressed, however., and really enjoyed it. I thought the graphics were great (for me, and knowing it's an older game), I enjoyed the storylines, even though sometimes it felt a bit slow and too back-and-forth with traveling. I loved seeing the origins of Aloth and Eder (from POE2) in particular (everythig about Aloth makes sense now! 😂). I do love that so many of the places had SO much space to explore, and on the whole, it did feel like a longer game (although, personally, I found POE2 richer/more engaging - I wish I could take the expansiveness of 1 and blend it into 2). There were lots of little things in 1 that I recognized from 2, which speaks to how much care I feel like went into these two games to make them very clearly not only the same world, but fit together as chapters in one epic story. The companions were incredibly interesting, and my main struggle was just how much I wanted all of them to be in my party, like all the time 😅 so I could complete all of thier stories. (Except Durance - I was trying so hard to figure out his deal, but, naw. Next playthrough, I'm fully going to leave that dude behind 😂). Very cool storylines to explore and choices to make, and most of the choices, even if they're smaller, still feel like they do have an actual impact on how things go (ie. reputation), which I love. I did find the amount of times I needed to travel via map and go back to the keep kind of annoying, and having to try and manage the Keep/visitors while out in the middle of other missions was a bit annoying too. But, that being said, I did also really like the ability to be able to send companions on little side quests and missons (complete with journal entries on how it went, rewards, and some companions were better suited for some missions than others). That was a really neat mechanic that I would've liked to have seen in POE2. POE2 was my introduction to games like this (and I was obsessed with it). POE 1 scratched the same itch and I really, really loved playing it!! Definitely recommend for anyone who fancies any D&D/fantasy style games (exploration and RP, action/combat and puzzles). I'll say 9/10 only because POE2's ship sailing/pirate mechanics are my FAV, but POE 1 was overall absolutely excellent, IMO.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

some of the most thematically interesting classes in an rpg of this genre, surely the skyrim clone that takes place in this game's universe has all of those...right? decision paralysis my beloved

El arte, la música, la historia, me encanta, lo hacen muy bien en todos estos apartados, super recomendado.
A NATA, so o file
One of the best games Ive ever played. Well written story and companions, a really fun class-system and a wonderfull artstyle and direction are the foundations of this charming adventure. Id even recommend the DLCs which tell their own part of adventures and Lore.
Základní hra je zajímavá a zábavná, jenom lidi kteří neovládají angličtinu a potřebují českou lokalizaci bych upozornil že k datadiskům pro hru Pillars of Eternity nikdo češtinu nedodělal a zřejmě nedodělá.

Good
World is great, the choices have meaning, the characters are mature, and the reveals are outstanding. With the new update giving a new way to play, it's well worth jumping in.
