Pillars of Eternity

One of the best rpg games ever!!! with overall story 10/10 (Much more better end game story that pillars 2), gameplay 9/10, amazing variety of companions, even graphics aren't what you expect from a 10 year old game..... Makes you feel wonder if avowed was done by the same studio. With no cypher/druid/watcher this game universe isn't the same. I hope they do better with avowed 2. or better make pillars 3 or similar.

Generic. Riddled with OCs from early contributors. Very little actual dialogue, and superficial gameplay. A 'mock' CRPG. Throw it away.

Came back to the game after years, was displeased to find it with a rather tedious bug(s) that really grinds my gears. Enemies will display extreme brain injury during their turns, casting spells at their feets, standing still like they're having a seizure, just to crash my game when i approach them... Sometimes they just decide they had enough with the ongoing battle and just... You guessed it, stand still. Yeah it's Obsidian... I get it the games they make will always have tons of bugs... But I'd rather play Fallout: New Vegas without the unofficial patch than this one. I'm not going to fight the same three hundred spiders in the basement of Caed Nua a third time.

I really enjoy RPGs with rich lore and mechanics. This scratches that itch I had after finishing my last BG3 playthrough. I prefer turn-based combat in RPGs and I have to admit that my first playthrough of PoE was after they added the turn-based mode, and I have to say that it's been a joy to play! It doesn't seem at all like a game that added this system later. It works seamlessly and is really fun. PS. And the music is wonderful too! One can tell that this was a game made by people passionate about RPGs.
