Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.33/day in the week to Aug 5 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm very disappointed. I bought this game after seeing a series of videos on Youtube that seemed fun, instead I bought a buggy game that wasn't finished. I should have asked for a refund but trusted the devs would fix the bugs. In the community there's a post where they answered "We know this isn’t an excuse for the game’s current state, and we're picking up the pace again. We'll be sharing a Steam post soon that goes into much more detail about our future plans for the game", this was in September. I've not seen any such post nor update. It's such a pity, the game had potential but it's unplayable now. Hopefully they'll eventually fix it but as of now I don't have that much hope (I understand uni is very busy but I still feel deceived).
Got it in the bundle, started going through the tutorial. Wanted to play with just the mouse, clicked on what I thought was next page but was fast-forward, you can only hit next with spacebar even though everything else can be done with mouse. Got to a part in tutorial it says put up factories but had none to select, deleted my save and started over. Got past that part, learned about and placed the three different factories, was asked to place a house and did. Then was told I was given another home to place but to rotate it first, could not rotate or place the building. Done.

Really would've loved to leave a positive review of this game, as it's really fun and holds my attention for a long time. I really enjoy it. But the game-breaking bugs are absolutely ruining it. There are many bugs, but one in particular is actually devastating to your progress. You cannot continue once it occurs, and you're forced to forfeit your current map and start over. This game was clearly released too early. I don't know how many devs this game has, but y'all aren't working on these things quickly enough to deserve any more money from it. Great concept, great foundation of a game, but overall unfinished and beyond the tutorial/first level, almost entirely unplayable. Don't waste your money.
There’s a fun idea at the heart of Pile Up!, but the game still feels far from finished. It claims to be a full release, yet basic issues continue to disrupt the experience, including placeholder building descriptions, recurring error messages, and a crisis meter that often feels misleading or inconsistent. I enjoy the core gameplay concept, but the lack of polish and the number of persistent bugs make it difficult to recommend in its current state.
I love building WH40K hive cities. Camera control is a bit weird but managable. Would buy it on sale for 5€ or via this monthly Humble Bundle for 7 more games, BUT: Gamebreaking bugs are still in the game after 1 year. the Discord is dead btw. for example you get softlocked at the beginning of a new run.
Pile Up! is a city-building resource sim, except I'm not really sure what the point is. Pros: -Cool Concept of building the city upwards. Cons: -The resources don't really seem to matter much? Buildings are randomly generated so there is not that much strategizing to do besides give yourself more building space. -Camera/placement controls are VERY janky. The game wants you to put houses in between all of your other buildings, but the controls makes it very hard to select those spots. Also why is the rotate camera button the same that you use to place objects. -Tutorial is kinda janky. -Why is there a speed up time button if everything is essentially turnbased. -Visually it can get really hard to see everything correctly once you build a lot of stuff. Everything sort of just melds together. I played through the tutorial and then the first world/level. While it looked cool in preview, I was bored after 30 minutes. I feel like there's potential, but currently its more like a proof of concept than a final product. Rating: 4/10
The game has great potential! BUT the are a ton of bugs and UI problems to be fixed. 3/6 games I had to force close in order to baypass the disappearing UI. I hope they resolve the issues. Otherwise very interesting and strategically driven.
Disappointing. Has some annoing bugs and bad controls.
Game mechanics are confusing, poorly explained, and there are just too many of them accessible at early levels. Bug where amenity and support labels are switched in the in game tracker for how many items you can expect of each. Too much variety in buildings makes it impossible to plan. Difficult to place buildings, especially 1 square homes (bugged). I don't expect my cities to be perfect in this kind of game, but I wish they didn't always end up an ungly mess.
