There’s no combat, no trading - just focus on making your little islands the best they can be.
The game has 2 main modes: Classic Mode, where players must strategically place buildings to build up your high score and unlock new buildings and islands, and sandbox mode for those looking to chill out and build purely for aesthetics and vibes. There's also a Daily challenge, where all players will play for a high score on the same fixed map.

I really want to like this game, I think it's cute and I like the idea, but I find it very hard to have enough success to want to keep playing longer than five or ten minutes. The island gets cluttered up very quickly even on the largest size, I keep getting buildings I can't use (like I'll have four mills to place and I still haven't gotten the option for a farm), and the selection of buildings is too small to be interesting. I'm left trying to place two theaters on an island that is already filled up with with stables that don't have farms and that are debuffing each other and then I get a bridge and all I have to put on my new island are multiple bakeries, etc. If you think the style looks really cute and you'd like the sandbox mode, I think it is worth the price for that. I'm not going to refund, I want to keep messing with it and see if there's some way to play it more efficiently that I'm missing, but idk, there are more powerful building games and the actual gameplay element hits a wall very quickly. For a similar comparison, I got tired of playing Dorfromantik eventually and felt like the payoff was diminishing but after like 10 hours of playing compared to an hour here, and half of that hour was me really *trying* to have fun
A fun, relaxing (multiple) town building game. Buildings buff or debuff each other, so there's a lot of satisfaction to be had from planning out your town and getting the maximum number of buffs. It's fun seeing the villagers bobbing around, fishing and living their lives. Lots of other nice details too, like a day/night and season cycle, with birds flying about and marine life swimming. Makes a great screensaver if you have to AFK for a while. "H" toggles the HUD. Highly recommended!
Overall a great and mellow little gem
The roguelite mode is pretty good and has a surprising amount of depth and variety to it. Different buildings work better when placed next to each other, so natural districts form and it's satisfying to learn how things click together across runs. Creative is like making and photographing tiny dioramas, the whole game has this nice tactile feel that's like playing with toys. There's a nice chill soundtrack to match and there's so much color variation across the day/night cycle that makes it really easy on the eyes. I've really enjoyed what I've played so far so if you're on the fence, I really recommend going for it :)
its a neat idea, but falls short. Could be better. Need more islands, even large maps are lacking with a maximum of 5 lands. Sandbox modes not as fun as classic because you can place buildings anywhere, even in the ocean. but classic mode needs more logic and the islands could be a little larger as well
Really cute little building game - kinda like a more laid-back Islanders. Good amount of strategy to the building systems whilst still being very laid back and chill. Impressive for a debut game from a solo dev!
If you have played Dorf Romantic or Townscaper and wanted something simple with people in it, you need to try this game. You build on an island and can fill it with farms, jetties to fish off, a quarry, a stonemason, and provide a theatre and an observatory as well as a library for your villagers or townspeople. Just to complete things, theres a town hall, a place of worship, and a pub you can add, then set the weather and watch as your people go about their daily business. You have a choice of building on an island of various sizes, or an archipelago, for variety. There is a sandbox mode for people like me who throw the rules away once I know how to build, or you can lay to the strict requirements of the game, its your choice all the way through. Either way, have fun and relax and watch the happy little workers do what comes naturally to them in a world you have created.
Really Tranquiled my Isle, 10/10
