[b]- Disclaimer -[/b] I have updated this review to reflect my current thoughts on this game, as of October 6th, 2020. [h1]Gameplay[/h1] Wander a confined area and and play "dress up" with two ladies (or you can unlock more via DLC). There isn't a goal to [b]Photo Studio[/b]; I'd consider this to be a sandbox game. You can dress and pose the NPCs, and take photos or videos using the in-game cameras. You can also adjust the strength and temperature of the preset lighting, or even change the on-screen projection behind your model. By adding Youtube links to the "YoutubeUrls.txt" file in [b]Photo Studio[/b]'s base directory, you can play any video in the background (or since there's sound playback, listen to some jams as you play the game.) He's your everyday photo guy, busty tummy and plaid shirt, the whole artist get-up. Gabriel visits whenever photo guy needs to short a couple or porno flick. He's a pretty chad guy, always there when Anya and Mei need him. [h1]Visuals[/h1] There is no titlescreen, it's [i]straight[/i] to the action. The user-interface is extremely poor, and navigating the game is absolute pain. Much of the game is operated by a panel with a limited number of (comically cartoony) buttons, instead of a traditional menu or interacting with objects directly. You are forced to cycle through options one-by-one, and your movement is restricted by a set of fancy animations (which will often seize and make you unable to leave the control panel.) You can adjust audio and graphical preferences from the ([i]unattractive[/i]) pause menu. The player animations don't usually work great; when he moves forward, he [i]drifts forward[/i] instead of walking. [b]- The Goods-[/b] The base game contains no goodies. However, if this is a game that looks interesting to you, definitely pick it up (even if it's a little rough around the edges.) The developer is surprisingly punctual: on release, I ripped her game a new one because it didn't have a functional camera. Come the next day, and there's not only a functional camera, but there's also a brand new (and functional) video camera! Grab the game, and put in your words for updates. Still, I think the game should have stayed behind closed doors before its (awful) release, and the price is well above what it should be given the current state of the game. Between the base game and one adult-DLC, it's thirty-five USD: that's more than what you'd have to pay for most adult, triple "A" games! Photo Studio von Games For Pleasure ist ein Puppenanzieh- und fotografieren Simulator. Oder soll es zumindest sein. Ich habe mich nach diversen updates jetzt dazu durchgerungen, diesem Stück Software den Rücken zu kehren, aber vorher gibt es noch dieses Review: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2412577349 Es fängt schon damit an, dass man das Programm immer noch nur vom Desktop starten kann, egal ob in real oder virtuell. In steamVRHome erscheint es nicht. Photo Studio bietet uns ein paar Modelle mit denen wir uns „austoben“ können. Die meisten der netten Damen gibt es aber als echt teure DLCs. Wir haben also, wie der Name des Programms erwarten lässt eine Kamera mit der wir fotografieren und filmen können. Das Basisprogramm beinhaltet natürlich keine 18+ Inhalt, der muss teuer mit DLCs dazugekauft werden. Or at least that's what it's supposed to be. After several updates, I have now decided to turn my back on this piece of software, but before I do, here is this review: It starts with the fact that you can still only start the programme from the desktop, whether in real or virtual. It does not appear in steamVRHome. Photo Studio offers us a few models with which we can "let off steam". But most of the nice ladies are available as really expensive DLCs. So, as the name of the programme suggests, we have a camera with which we can take photos and make films. Our modern gem has a zoom function and a few filters. The studio itself is located in a small cute little house that is completely furnished with IKEA furniture. Unfortunately, the whole house is inactive, i.e. we can't interact with anything, although we can teleport through all the rooms. The models all stay dutifully in the studio and don't move an inch into the other rooms, I guess that's what the contract says. Only the models and the studio's equipment can be controlled via a cheap-looking and illogical tablet that just floats around the room. I spent most of my time operating this stupid tablet. Frustrated, I would have preferred to throw it through the VR onto a real wall. One more note. The basic programme obviously doesn't include 18+ content, that has to be bought expensively with DLCs. Once more I wish there was the possibility to write a neutral review. I liked the rather high quality of both environment and models. Also the dev has managed to deliver both a VR and Non-VR way of playing the same game. This is quite a challenging task. During my beta testing I mainly explored the house and threw some props at the models (yes, I am a Dude of simple pleasures...) There is a remote control and voice input commands. Have not been able to test the voice input since I need to get a mic first. The remote control has groups/topics and is quite confusing to operate. Why am I giving this a thumbs up you might ask after reading the review? The dev is listening to the requests of players like no other. Two days ago first reviews did complain that the camera does not work. Now it does! Note: I have received the full game (including all DLCs) for beta testing. Hi as i have read with other reviews the PC version is limited and the menu selection is clunky, that is unfair to people who don't have VR. You made 3D novel maker, which I own, so let us put the two together and use all the same sets and models and accesories, in other words it's value would increase if you combined the two programs. As for price, it's too dear for the limited value you get. You need to update the actions of the models so they are smoother and more human like instead of robotic. The buttons would be better if they were voice operated as well. It has great possibilities but needs a lot of work and more value for money...bring down the price. Hi There is one more problem, the woman on the couch is walking thru the couch, as if it's not there, so the propertys need to be adjusted.

I think this is so far from being what I expected that its not a good idea to buy in its current form. To have developed everything except the camera and ability to take photos, including the ridiculous number and type of add on packs, is not a good sign. The camera mechanics and lighting needs to be right to make this worth considering I think. I assumed the camera would work and was so disappointed when I found it a low res object. Every VR headset or PC has tons of buttons, yet the interface created is the most awful I have used in a very long time. The modelling of the environment is good and the motion cap is quite good, though the models of the girls are a bit poor.

The problem with having a nonvr game converted to vr is that all traditional gameplay mechanics play by different rules now. For example just to make the light brighter I need to push the lamp button 30 times just to reset it to normal level. And that is if I even manage to register the input, do it too fast it wont even register. I could not access any menu with my valve controllers (Is there any menu at all?) Because after 15 seconds I wanted to turn it of or at least lower the background music volume. I could not get the voice commands to work either. When developing a game for vr its pretty much crucial to make everything feel as natural as possible, because every hurdle you experience will take you out of the experience. I plugged in to this game not expecting much but I at least thought I could use the camera? There was no way for me to turn it on. The price you are asking and the dlc section would set you back 70 euros. Now for that price you are competing against games such as Half Life Alyx which is a no brainer. I love VR and want it to grow and hope you as a developer will succeed with this simulator but as it stands today its not acceptable. My advice for you is to work on the fundamentals before adding new content.

The game needs more content, but anyway it's funny and worth it. The models animation indeed is stunning.

Hello, to the lady that is making this.. I just bought it the other day the controls I could not even figure out or get to work. This looked interesting, can you just have simple drop downs to select models, clothing etc etc. The controls are too difficult to you. Am I missing something. I am using Oculus Rift S, please do something. Thanks.

Absolutely horrible. Of the 18 minutes of gameplay, I spent 8 loading in, 6 trying to figure out the controls (or lack thereof), and 4 exiting back out again. The video quality is horrible, despite being a "photo studio", and it takes forever to cycle through everything. I wouldn't even try the voice commands; Those are probably not going to work either, and I don't want to sound like a weirdo yelling "lights", "hair", and the like.
