About
Immerse yourself in the history of Ancient Egypt with 50 missions in Pharaoh™: A New Era, a remake of Pharaoh (and the expansion Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile), one of the best city builders from the golden age of Sierra Entertainment. Stone by stone, build your city and manage all aspects of its development to ensure it prospers and makes you a powerful and revered pharaoh.

Develop your city by cultivating the fertile lands along the banks of the Nile valley. Erect the iconic monuments of Ancient Egypt, including the pyramids, the Sphinx and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Build temples and mausoleums to help manage all aspects of your city's health and culture as well as the predominant polytheistic religion of the time.
Ensure your city is prosperous enough to deal with economic or political crises, or even plundering by enemies. A pharaoh takes care of its people and does whatever it can to earn the favour of the gods.

Pharaoh™: A New Era celebrates 20 years since the release of the famous franchise with a complete remake, including more than 50 playable missions and over 100 hours of gameplay.
The "Campaign" mode teaches you the game basics while allowing you to experience a unique story in the heart of Ancient Egypt. Explore all aspects of life in a thriving city, build and manage all its fundamental elements to ensure it flourishes: the economy, internal and external trade, culture, health, agriculture, education, etc.

The journey back in time is really brought to life with this new version, which upgrades the gameplay mechanics to modern standards and completely redesigns the captivating soundtrack and gorgeous isometric 2D graphics.
Many indicators have also been added or improved: keep better track of the frequency or quality of the Nile's floods with the Nilometer, or don't lose sight of your population's mood with some unique new tools!

ce jeu est très bien il est éxplicite et il y a tout pour passer un bon moments
Awesome remake! My only real gripe is the new combat system... It feels really half baked and takes away from how true to the original the rest of the game is. Hopefully someone mods in the old combat at some point.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This review is about my experience with the original Pharaoh game. I am 35 at this moment and I had a very hard childhood and it was not easy for me at home. I had no friends in the years of 6 to 10 and school was not a success. From the devastating situations at home I had no escape. One day my uncle brought me to the toy store to buy some games, of course it needed to be cheap my family did not had lots of money and I needed to pick 3 games. I was very happy that I could choose 3 games, at the game store in the Netherlands Intertoys there was a huge basked with lots of games at discount. These discounts prices were like 5 to 8 euros and lots of lots titles, with big eyes I searched for games that suited my hobbies. First I liked Egypt, old Egypt the movie The mummy stuck with me for ages. In that time I collected everything that had to do with Egypt. So while searching for a games I saw the Game Pharaoh a huge bog with a fantastic great image. I looked on the back and I was sold then and there, I asked my uncle if it could play on my windows 98 pc and he said yes. I gratefully took it in my basked next to the other 2 games that stood with me for the rest of my life. Diablo 1 and Zeus master of Olympus. Little did i know that these games would help me so much looking back. When I got home I installed Pharaoh immediately, I was blown away what i saw. The introduction video, the music, the animations of the game, the details of the water. The excitement the rush the emotions ran over me as a 8 year old boy, i could forget everything at home. Every time I played that game I was fully focused nothing of no one could take me away from my play times. With every bad encounters at home I jumped in the game and at the moments I was very happy this is the way I spend my minutes and hours as a child playing this game. Now nearly 28 years I bought the most expensive laptop in the world 2026 Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic A2WJ-1262NL 40 year edition. I bought this for work, I am a Macbook user because my job is Multi Media Design I make high end websites, but also Photo, Videos, and graphic design. So adobe is my place to go. Now I chose for a Windows device that could handle the tasks I do I know I had to install steam just to look around. My steam account is 17 years old, so the account knew what I liked. The moment I was in the store I saw this game Pharaoh™: A New Era, and I was like. I am reading and seeing this correctly? I inspected the page and the music played, that moment when I heard the instruments I knew what this game was. The tears started the flow all the moments I had from my childhood started to flash by. Dear Triskell Interactive you have remade this game so beautiful and kept the music so faithfully I thank you for the hard work and the time to do this. I again at my age play this game with joy and lots of emotions. Kind regards, Onur Taskin. P.S I also saw Theos: Cities of Myth remake of Zues Master of Olympus I cannot wait when you will release this, you won my heart and full support.
The original Pharaoh was my favorite game growing up and A New Era has revived my love for the franchise. An absolute must have.
Usually with these kinds of management games that keep giving you new levels to master it is supposed to feel like the developers give you new challanges and puzzles to solve with each level. This game also feels like you are trying to solve a puzzle, but that puzzle is the game design and the unexplainable bugs. Why is my monument not being built? It has everything it needs. I click the thing and it just needs limestone. Yeah, i got enough of that. Oh yeah, it needs wood too, but the monument says that nowhere. Everybody just stops working. Why is my Bazaar not getting Linen anymore? I make more than enough. I even moved a storage yard right to the Bazaar and made sure it gets filled with linen. Yet all my Bazaars decided to not take any Linen anymore, making it impossible to succeed the level. Why is nobody moving in anymore? The overseer clearly says people are immigrating. I need more people to win the damn level. And lastly the game is just too long. This isnt a reason not to buy it, but that still annoyed me. After Level 20 or so it was always the exact same process. Check for gold. If there are gold mines, you won the game. If not, check which goods the other cities around you buy. Quickly get production up and running and once you make more money than you lose, you won. That's the whole game.
