I want to love this game like I did with 2K23, but the servers don’t work most of the time and there are performance issues in the menus. I can’t recommend this game in the state it’s in, even though the gameplay is great.
I love playing Golf games, but I have to say this game is NOT good. They seem to get progressively worse every time they make a new release and this is the worst of the bunch. For ever we kept playing 2021 because the servers were still up and it was least terrible of the games, but alas. They now shutdown the 2021 servers and we had to find a new one. We got this hot garbage. What annoying me the most are the "random fluctuations" they inject into the game. The swing meter shows perfect, but the ball comes off the club at an angle. While I understand there are situation in real life that can cause this like not cleaning your club head, but this happens unusually often in this game. Also, the game setup as I play mostly with friends in private matches. You set the game settings (not open) and yet each player continues to play under different settings. Not only that, I like to use the blue arcs to help understand the trajectory, but for whatever reason. For me it's disabled and I cannot for the life of me getting turned on. I've asked in forums, I've asked AI. They all say the same thing, but it doesn't work for me. The people I play with have it turned on. I just can't turn it on for me and even though we are supposed to be under the same rules while playing. Clearly we are not!
I tried, and tried, and tried to like this game, but it wants me to stop playing so bad. Horrible performance on PC if you have any sort of NVIDIA driver/GPU. The progression is so slow. The difficulty curve is way too hard. The player customization is lackluster. The EvoSwing or whatever they're calling it is so sensitive by design, but guess what? THAT'S JUST BAD DESIGN. It's way too difficult and precise when it doesn't need to be. It's not fun to play this game, its just frustrating. Really disappointed.
