A cute and fun, nostalgic feeling puzzle game! There's so much heart put into this game, from the art, music, and mechanics. I'm still learning the ropes, but I'm having fun playing! The characters are fun, and I'm looking forward to playing each of their stories. Highly recommended to puzzle league fans that want to try a new playstyle!
I feel a little stupid for picking this one up based on the publisher when generally these games aren't my thing, and I personally am not into it, but the presentation is very charming and I can tell the gameplay is well done. definitely check it out if you like these types of things.
super sweet & fun experience. the puyo lover in me is pleased! looking forward to the next game!!
Petal Crash feels like a classic game, not just in the sense of the retro styling but in the fact that the gameplay is so clean it feels like someone should have designed something like this years ago. You slide blocks around in a classic ice sokobon way, trying to then combo that into other blocks. You're making your own puzzles and your own problems, under clever competitive pressure. As a bonus, the AI in this game has a fun bit of variance between characters, and the story mode has seriously fun writing that's perfect for this type of mode. It also features basically every kind of mode you'd want for this kind of game, including a well thought out puzzle mode. It might be tuned a little bit more towards the hardcore? But this is also a game with an extremely high skill ceiling so that kind of makes sense, and if you're not a puzzle pro there's still a lot to do. Highly recommended.
I Love this games story mode and the puzzle mechanic is actually really fun once you get used to it. I loveee the art and characters theyre so cute and their stories are all simple but very pleasant with clear progression. I like the contrast between rosalina and lilibri's wishes making them each others final boss (although rosalina is everyone's it felt especially meaningful when I was playing as lili)
Accurate recreation of the October Revolution, down to the fairy dust they were on.
Besides that, It's an actually fun puzel game with NuAnCeD mechanics. But I wish PC:Online wasn't so dead. It's a whole separate game. For the price of one mind you!
Like a never-released Game Boy Advance game with some Kirby-like tunes from another dimension. Petal Crash has a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it blooms into neat puzzle game. There are plenty of game modes to keep you entertained. The puzzle mode is a good way to start learning and melting your brain. Everything runs flaw(er)lessly on the Steam Deck, without turning it into a jet engine. 10/10 🎋 🍃 🌾 🌺 🌻 🌹 🌷 🌼 🌸 💐
Worth it for the soundtrack alone.
There's a non-biney horse that's cute and you get to crash petals like bowling balls into pins that knock into other pins 10/10, lots of cute ♥♥♥♥ and fun puzzle action. If you like puzzle league/Tetris attack you'd probs like this
