From Obsidian, this game is a historical narrative-driven game focusing on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling in early 16th century Bavaria. Players will play as Andreas Maler, a clever illustrator caught up in a series of murders in Tassing and Kiersau Abbey over the course of twenty five years. Players will be responsible for conducting their own investigation to decide the fate of the community, but each decision will have lasting consequences and inexorably draws Andreas closer to the center of an underlying conspiracy.

I'd heard great things about this game. It took me months to finally get into it. The first few days in game are slow and you spend a lot of time just learning how to get around the world and interacting with the characters. It wasn't until the exciting point in the first chapter (which was a few hours in) that the game really clicked for me. Since I went into the game blind, I had no idea what was going to happen or what I was getting into. The end of the first chapter left me confused and surprised, the second bewildered and saddened , and the conclusion thoughtful. You get to see the details of these characters lives and how your choices can impact them. You also get a perspective of what it might have been like to live in that time period. Overall, if you like interactive visual novels, you'll probably enjoy this. If you need action and excitement, this game is probably not for you.
мне очень понравился визуальный стиль, история, персонажи, игровой интерфейс. да, это бродилка с видом сбоку, но она сможет вас удивить. стилистика очень сильно подкупает, но и история не дает расслабиться. сходство с диско элизиум в том, что концовка от отыгрыша не зависит. не могу сказать, что это плюс или минус, но некоторые реакции горожан порой бесили, т.к. не понятно, а че дальше? а ничего, время идет дальше. но после прохождения негатива ноль, я прослезился пару раз

Es kommt selten vor, dass ich Spiele zu Ende bringen. Das hier habe ich beendet. Das Spiel ist entspannend, aber zugleich fesselnd und spannend. Ich wollte möglichst alle Infos bekommen und war süchtig danach zu wissen, wie es weiter geht. Diese Neugierde und die "Ohs" und "Ahs" hielten sich bis zum Ende. Dazu lernt man noch was über die damalige Zeit. Mit den Charakteren vor allem mit den Dorfbewohnern wächst man irgendwie zusammen. Durch und durch ein wirklich gelungenes Spiel (mit Wiederspielwert). Nicht zu vergessen, das die grafische Darstellung wundervoll ist! Klare Kauf- und Spielempfehlung!
