Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
From Obsidian, this game is a historical narrative-driven game focusing on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling in early 16th century Bavaria. Players will play as Andreas Maler, a clever illustrator caught up in a series of murders in Tassing and Kiersau Abbey over the course of twenty five years. Players will be responsible for conducting their own investigation to decide the fate of the community, but each decision will have lasting consequences and inexorably draws Andreas closer to the center of an underlying conspiracy.
Experience 16th century Europe as the master artists of the time saw them. Art inspired by great illuminated manuscripts and the earliest printed books becomes a living, breathing world in Pentiment.
Choose different academic and social backgrounds and meet a colorful cast of characters as you discover the stories and secrets that lie within the small Bavarian town of Tassing and nearby Keirsau Abbey.
In an era of great religious and political change, each decision you make can have a profound impact on the community’s future. Find your own way through this turbulent time and see the consequences of your choices play out over generations.

我还挺喜欢这种慢叙述的,很喜欢这个美术风格。
This is a very unique game that offers a snapshot of history and an immersive experience from the perspective of it's people. It feels like opening up a time capsule filled with beautiful artwork The plot centers around an intriguing murder mystery, but I found the characters and setting interesting enough that I explored everything I could. What's there was worth exploring

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Très bonne histoire
Beautiful game
A master class in story telling. Highly recommend if you enjoyed something like Disco Elysium.
"I want a game that uses Disco Elysium's insanely well crafted narrative system and wonderful writing...but it's about a young witch trying to solve the disappearance of [their] neighbor's cat in a small village in the Alps." - Twitter User Probably the closet existing game (as of 2026) to that concept. * Small village in the Alps? Check. * Young witch? Well, Andreas can get into esoteric theology and witchcraft if you save the book so check? * Cats? Plenty of them, check. * Neighbors? Don't even get me started. * Romance? Czech. This is a game for medieval history nerds like me, apparently Josh Sawyer has a masters in Medieval European history, and it shows. Slowburn game with time pressure, its the kind of game you need to take your time. Light on gameplay aside the occasional minigame, but the fun comes from unravelling the mysteries of Tassing and its people--and watching them grow. From pagans, to lesbian villagers, gay monks, and enough adultery to make the town of Twin Peaks blush, I enjoyed my time with this game.
A wonderful gem of a game that grasped me completely and would not let go.
Really good adventure great with great writing.
I found playing this game to be a really memorable experience, and I'd strongly recommend it to players who enjoy role-playing-type adventure games with an unhurried pace. In terms of game mechanics, the closest match I can think of is Night in the Woods. You roam around town, talk to everybody who interests you, and decide how to pass finite time as you work your way toward resolving an overarching mystery whose resolution matters for your character's friends and the setting at large. That said, Pentiment felt very unique to me, because of its setting, story, and aesthetic. I'm happy enough to play games whose setting is "medieval Europe" in the usual generic sense that there are swords and castles and stuff. Pentiment is a game meticulously situated in 1500s Bavaria. The Protestant reformation is ongoing and politically contentious. A handful of monks are still working as scribes in monasteries, but the printing press has been around a while, and your character is an artist who interacts with people in both those worlds - literally walking between the "old" and the "new" as you walk between the secular world of that time (the farms and town where peasants and tradespeople live) and the religious world (the monastery up the hill) - against a backdrop of even older roman ruins and pagan myths. I don't generally go in for historical fiction, but this game's use of history makes the setting and the day-to-day experiences of its characters that much more interesting and immersive. I've never played anything quite like it in that respect. This focus on history is also an important part of the story. Without spoiling too much, your character's decisions matter - to an extent - but not always to the extent or in the way that you might anticipate, and the acts are separated by jumps in time that show how individual decisions can interact with bigger historical forces that magnify, overwhelm, or invert them. The art is excellent start-to-finish and reflects what you can see in the previews. It was fun sometimes to just pull up the menu and look at the insane animals/monsters in the margins (which change constantly depending on variables unclear to me). All in all I thought this game was a unique experience and extremely well executed.
