Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4

This is the fourth game in a series of JRPGs themed on the characters from the once popular Penny Arcade online comic. You would think that, given the game based on an online comic, drawn by artists, they could have found an artist for their video games, too, but they didn't, they run on lazy, ugly retro pixel graphics, from an era that died a decade before their comic even started, a comic, being gamer orientated, is about modern, popular games, and not ugly retro pixel games made by people who lack the talent/funds to hire an artist. Some thick irony there. Anyway, ugly retro pixel crap, thus impossible for me to recommend.

Zeboyd's non-Penny Arcade games are better; I don't care for PA anymore but the game itself was a fun simple JRPG.

Played through all of the 4 games, but this is where i had to stop. Can deal with change of developers and graphics downgrade from the 2nd to 3rd game, the story was still good and interesting , and the battle mechanics were still fun. But the 4th game is where i had to stop playing, they changed the entire system, to a "pokemon" like battle system with trainers to decide which stat ups each monster they get , why? Now you can't fight using the iconic characters like Moira , Gabe or Dr. Blood but some monsters? it loses all charm , i would stick with a random let's play and skip to story parts because that's the only redeeming quality of this game.

Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4 (2013) Great game, but if you played the previous game you already know what to expect from this one. It's still the same funny and witty characters with the class based combat. Story was fine. Really all I can say here, if you liked number 3 then 4 should be more or less the same experience. 8/10

Not as bad as the usual cash grab RPGs, but not good enough to be worth recommending either.

Not as good as 3 and still somewhat overly grindy, but still very funny and worth playing. Plus, ya know, resolution and all that.
