About
Establish the greatest regime in history in this darkly satirical colony sim and FPS roguelite hybrid. Build a prosperous totalitarian state, enforce policies, and lead your troops into first-person battles that grow from desperate skirmishes into large-scale mechanized war.
Dictate wisely. Every choice shapes society, for better or worse.
Mold your citizens through fear, propaganda, surveillance, punishment or rule as a benevolent leader through comfort and prosperity.
While they work for the State, they may grow grateful, afraid, loyal, or quietly rebellious, until dissent becomes revolt.
Venture into the fractured territories of the Tyris System to gather resources, conscript new citizens, trade with wandering merchants, and feed the growth of your colony.
Fight beside your troops in roguelite FPS battles, from hostile ships to large-scale mechanized battlefields of infantry, tanks, and mechs, spreading your doctrine and eliminating threats to humanity.
Weakened foes can be captured and dragged back to your base.
Behind prison doors, resistance can be crushed through fear, indoctrination, execution, or conversion, until an enemy becomes a citizen, a warning to would-be rebels, or another tool of the regime.
Elite enemies, bosses, and Sector Overlords flood the battlefield with bullets, lasers, missiles, drones, artillery, and overlapping projectile patterns.
This is war at scale, but you are not alone. Order your troops to secure victory, or use them as expendable shields to achieve your ends.

Turn a handful of survivors into a vast, tightly run, self-sustaining colony.
Assign citizens to mine, gather, haul, research, and manufacture weapons, armor, food, and supplies. Watch fragile shelters become the machinery of the State.
Collect roguelite cores during each expedition to grow stronger, survive longer, and push deeper into enemy territory.
Weapon Cores reshape how your guns handle. Combination Cores create synergies between different core sets. Others strengthen the troops fighting beside you, or turn them into sacrificial shields for your survival.
Each run becomes a shifting war machine built around you, your squad, and the chaos you unleash together.

Pax Autocratica is a totalitarian colony sim and FPS roguelite hybrid that combines base building, citizen management, and first-person chaotic battlefields filled with infantry, vehicles and bullet hell. It offers a dynamic, accessible, and approachable gameplay experience for all in a sci-fi dystopian world.
It’s a game about power. How it’s built, how it corrupts, and how it consumes.
You will command armies, dictate laws, and witness consequences in every face that salutes you or fears you.

Not recommended at this time, too early in early access: it offers little content, and feels more like a demo rather than a finished game. However, I do not deny its potential, it could be a good game after a few years of content. Highest discount was seen at -17% on Aug 2026
宣传的像黄河长江,实际玩起来是小河沟子~所有内容都是点到为止,所有内容都只是皮毛。可能以后会好,但现在不推荐。
Lets just be honest here. IT IS EARLY ACESS, there is a lot of content in some places, less in others and quite a few bugs, but it is a unique experience that not many games have and it reminds me of lil abandoned game you my friend never heard of. "Genesis alpha one". The roguelite element is done very well, maps and missions tend to be slightly repetitive ngl, but weapons are unique and upgrades are not "+5%dmg" and more like "WELL DONE SOLDIER YOUR GRANADE LAUNCHER IS NOW A BIG FAT RAILGUN". Many devs don't get how important it is so i applaud that. I want to play more and am excited for what the team can do for the state. FOR THE FATHER!
Hát én beszarok ezen a játékon. Abszolute ajánlom aki kicsit is érdeklődik a kolónia menedzsment iránt.Kategóriájában kiemelkedően jó !
Tutorial says press = on xbox controller to get to equipment. Then RB and LB to navigate the menu. Doesn't work, have to switch to keyboard and press i then you can use controller to navigate. If you press = (or hold it I guess) all it does is open a menu to where you can disembark and assign troops, but you can't actually press RB or LB to navigate the menu... in fact... none of the buttons work, just the keyboard method of pressing i then it functions properly. The voices will suddenly change, like the robot on the first planet where you make your base, it will sound like...well a robot...and depending what you answer its questions with, it will suddenly sound like Jim your coworker in a few cubicles over while he is talking on a microphone The artwork is AI generated, uses anime portraits that don't fit the theme at all. Which leads to... Pretty sure tutorial is AI generated, since it actually is buggy it wasn't tested AI voices 100% AI generated and there was no testing to make sure they were consistent Artwork I'm like 95% sure is AI generated Which leads me to believe a lot of the game is just AI generated. I personally don't mind AI being used as a tool, but this game seems to make extensive use of it. Too much for my liking.
at the beginning i didnt want pax because efas was cancelled and reused for this game , but this is good really good it has almost all systems from efas and some new stuff like building catching and breathing like palworld , an all the good stuff from efas like the combat , the masive battles and the sapace exploration betwen other stuff like the crafting and skill tree etc... its good i like it and at the end this is better than the mmo promise from efas so im glad they pivot to single and coop play. also all the bakers perks were respected
I only played for about half an hour, but I've seen so many telltale signs of generative AI used in the art (and maybe the voice acting?) that I've been forced to write a review. If it was only used for concepting, if it was just placeholder art, whatever. I can't be bothered to engage with it when the primary loading screen of the game looks like an AI generated image that was touched up in photoshop by someone who thought they could fool us with a dash of human touch--which, spoiler alert, they didn't. That's not to mention the character portraits, which also bear the clear hallmarks of "ai misunderstanding human anatomy and its symmetries." I don't really want to give money to a company incapable of caring enough about their project to put quality human labor into *every aspect* of it before dumping it into my lap and saying "this is worth paying for," ESPECIALLY when they don't make use of Steam's generative AI disclosure (which they used to have, but for some reason got rid of, despite still containing AI generated content). What's the real problem with using AI to create parts of their game? Why not let this self-proclaimed small dev team (which they remind you of each time you launch the game) cut some corners while they're in early access so that they can create more while doing less? Because it's derivative. Because whatever concept they end up with, it has to be something so average, so banal, so mind-numbingly mediocre that it could be generated by a chatbot in less than a tenth of a second. I will be refunding this. Best of luck to the developers, I hope you choose to show some basic respect to your audience by being honest with them.
