That was one long game. I must say my feelings about it are a bit mixed. On one hand, the gameplay is great and challenging, the characters are likeable. On the other, the time limitation on quests, kingdom management which in the later stages becomes almost impossible, punishments for missing or failing kingdom tasks with ridiculously high challenge rating, which leads to possible game over. I definitely enjoyed beginning of the game more than the end. Infamous last dungeon was gruesome and unbalanced. Still, I will give thumbs up to the game for effort and amount of content.
Good game!
It does not work great with a controller. Connecting the controller is a constant battle and accessing kingdom management from the map by pressing "x" does not work most of the time. If you hope to play on the controller exclusively, don't bother buying this game, you will just get yourself annoyed.
Fun and good
Finished it a few days ago and I think it's better than most players think. Not perfect of course just good. Now this is a MASSIVE game! Took me 145 hours to complete. Some parts are super difficult, others are too easy. It has a lot of balance problems along with some strange pacing at times. Even after patching and this edition. Yet it is still a fun game. If you know what you're doing, you're going to have a good time. You're an upstart adventurer who manages to get promoted to a baron with their own piece of land and later to a king. The problems rise when you realise you're being played by some otherworldy forces involving an ancient curse. It has some similarities to old CRPGs: here you can play and pause at any time, issue orders and unpause so the characters do their tasks. Pathfinder: Kingmaker is also having a turn based mode if you prefer to play that way. Some players are disliking the combat difficulty or the Kingdom Management mode. Just set it to easy/story or auto for the kingdom (effortless is better at least) and you're good to go. Other alternative is looking up guides for the "perfect party build". Either way, the game is possible to beat even on 'Unfair'. That is for the most experienced players of course. It is extremely hard on that mode. I usually played it on normal mode and it still had a few hard fights here and there. Overall I enjoyed it a lot: 8.5/10. Pros: -Cool asthetics, especially the First World parts 8.5/10. Looks great for a Unity game from 2018 -Music is great. Not the best ever, but it's setting a mood. 8/10. -The story wasn't ground breaking. Some characters and quests are better than others. 7.5/10 -Voice acting is fine when it's present. Most dialogues got no voice acting so prepare to read a lot 8/10. -Tons of options on how to build your character with 4 sub classes for each main one. Gameplay 9/10. -You have access to an insane amount of Items and spells. Crafting vendors visiting you often. -It was stable for me, no crashes, corrupted save files or softlocks the entire playthrough -Performance is good, experienced no stutters. Cons: -The main campaign is too long to play through for many players. -Loading times can became a bit longer in the late game as your kingdom expands and having more items -Have to search up for guides if you wish to finish it on harder difficulties. Not joking, the game can punish you super hard if you're not prepared. This includes a Game Over screen if you fail some Kingdom quests. -The Kingdom management and timed main quests can be frustrating for those who prefer taking their time to finish every quest and task. Here you HAVE to do them sooner (especially the main ones) or it's over. -Some npc stuck in the terrain or having strange physics but nothing major Is it worth it? For the price of 20$/euros it's amazing value. Even without a sale, you get your money's worth. Not to mention there's some DLCs for even more content. Played the Beneath the Stolen Lands DLC (Tenebrous Depths dungeon) as well. It was ok, but a bit linear. Same for the extra party members The Wildcards. It's not needed to enjoy the main game, just some nice additions.
excellent!
Huge and amazing rpg. The plot is really good, good characters and cool choices. The entire game is on a timer, you'll never run out unless you try, things happen at set times which is very unique and immersive. The game can be brutal in the very beginning and the enemies in the very end are the least fun in the entire game. The pathfinder system while faithful isn't the best in a crpg, it puts more emphasis on preparing a fight than what you do in the fight and can feel stat-check heavy. Wrath of the righteous is a better starting point for the pathfinder games being more forgiving but I found the plot and world in kingmaker much more engaging.
норм игра
душновато , но если разобраться сюжет годный
