Garbage. This game has NOTHING to do with tanks or blitzkrieg. It is more akin to the attrition of World War I trench slogging than mobile warfare. Just as in "Panzer General", the AI puts all of it's units in the city hexes and you have to destroy them with pioneer units, artillery, and tactical bombers. Tanks and regular infantry are useless because the AI will generate "rugged defenses" for the enemy unit which will decimate the regular unit or tank unit you are attacking with. The so-called "casualty estimator" is worthless. You may see a 1:5 loss ratio in your favor, but the actual result may be 3:1, or worse. Cheating has been heavily incorporated into the game by the programmers. The AI gets unlimited prestige (game currency) while the player has limited prestige with which to purchase units, upgrade units, overstrength units, and buy replacements for depleted units. At the end of a scenario units are not replenished. You have to use prestige to get your units that were damaged in the previous scenario back to regular strength. Another problem for the player is that the size of your army is capped. If you need another fighter and somehow have the prestige to purchase one, too bad if you have reached your army limit. Essentially the player is always behind because the limited prestige and army size make it impossible to get an advantage. I do NOT recommend this highly unbalanced game.
Good old game
A bona fide classic of the genre. I grew up on Panzer General and this is its successor. PS. I can get into Panzer Corps 2, not sure why, but this? I will keep coming back to it.
One of my favorite strategy games of all time
so im coming from pc2 and i held off on this bc of it being a campaign only game and it just didnt look as good as pc2 but imo its just as good in its own way and a completely different game w familiar ui. one thing i like abt this one is that there isnt 300 units crammed into a small space. u actually feel like theres the right amount of units for the scaling of the terrain. i didnt think id like the sprites but actually theyre quite charming. i got it on sale but i could see myself paying full if i had the cash. but it seems to be on sale all the time if i remember correctly. great game. get the whole set not just the base game. it being a game w campaign only ull need the content. i really wish it had a scenario generator, or even just scenarios lol but i guess the campaigns kinda are so yea, get it
Mieux que le 2 !!!
Easy to play. Totally absorbing.
