another one of those that needs a # ranking. Is the game interesting yes is it fun to play sorta. Panzer Corps was a really really good successor to Panzer General. If you ur a big fan of either you will likely be disappointed with this "improvement". Yes it has good points and is a playable game ... I esp like the hero system that give a leader with an actual skill instead of a generic +1 attack or defense and I like the unit citation that makes experienced units better. The devs big deal about improving the original by making the units 3D was interesting ...... for all of maybe 2 mins. To me one of the biggest issues was how they nerfed arty. Arty the queen of the battlefield the weapon system that killed and injured more ppl than any others combined in WWII rarely kills anything in the game, it just causes suppression, unless you get a leader that turns suppression into kills. The worst change was to the core unit system. you get a very limited amount of core points so if you want to upgrade that tank, arty, airplane sure go ahead but it will cost you more core points; you want to overstrength the unit it will cost you significantly more core points. so you have a choice of more less effective units or more effective units but not leaving you enough that you need to be able to do the job to finish your objectives esp since you dont ever seem to have enough core units to begin with.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly, I don't think its very fun.
Enjoyable tactical war-game. I've only played scenarios and multi-player so far so my review will focus on those areas, I'm sure the campaigns are good as well. The game has an enjoyable general 'feel' to it, the graphics, sound and animations make the attacks feel like they pack a punch, something that can be lacking in other similar games sometimes (thinking especially of Battle Academy here). The abilities of the units and their functions are fairly intuitive, there's few "what the ♥♥♥♥ just happened?"-moments, like a light-tank obliterating a heavy-tank for no apparent at all due to a lucky roll, which can shift the tide of battle (again, thinking of Battle Academy). You'll mostly understand why things are happening as they are, and everything feels logical and thought out, except for a few things, which I'll mention soon. There are mainly two things that feel odd or ill though-out. The bridge units are just a mystery. Sometimes they allow vehicles to drive over them, other times they don't. In one position I could drive over them with t-34 tanks, but light wheeled scout-cars could not pass, even though they have more movement. Infantry units without transport can not pass over them since units can not stand in the same hex as other units (and bridge units are units that work as bridges). I think they might just be poorly designed and/or buggy. The other thing is that the game does not have that many multiplayer-maps (haven't bought any DLC so can't comment on if they add more), and some of the maps are (in my opinion) very boring mirrored tournament-style maps that makes the matches feel very 'gamey', not tactical or strategical (you just exploit the movement and abilities to 'snag' victory points from your opponent). All in all, a fine game, would (and will) play again.
As an old school wargamer I thought these types of games had ceased to exist. Panzer Corps 2 is a deeper, richer and more engaging cousin to the old Panzer general. The simple game mechanics underscore the enormous depth of strategy and replay value are huge factors on how good this game is. I've logged in almost 500 hours in nearly 3 months. Its addictive and I'm glad I'm hooked!

If you ever played the Panzer General games of old, this is just like it, but better
Great, fast-paced strategic WWII game! Plenty of units to command, lots of maps and just overall a great game to play! Well worth it for the value with a lot of cool upgrades and add-on material. Devs have updated the game regularly - KUDOS to Matrix! Enjoy =)
great game if you like ww2 games
