at first it will seem like a return to old everquest but the nostalgia will fade quickly. the servers are basicaly dead. dont let strom fool you, its the same 100 players re rolling alts. theres no content after late 20's other than ashbringer stuff. makes it very difficult to level past 30. especialy because you will notice your fighting the same mobs over and over. orcs in orc valley drop thornsteel weapons and mediocre gear, then the knighwolfs in eastern plains higher lvl also drop thornsteel weapons and different armor but similiar to the orc drop. for a higher lvl mob you would expect something different but no. then theres hanggore the tundra orcs drop better armor but the frost is a pain and again your killing the same mobs as orc valley just higher lvl. all ocrs are the same class types theres no variety of mobs. there are no resources in eastern or silent plains. causing a bottle neck for crafting beyond tier 2. theres plenty of newbie resources in thron and avp but no one needs those. this game has a long way to go. they said stats are important yet they dont have a decent formula. example paladin class one would assume charisma and wisdom would be good stats but nah, you need dex mostly. shamens need wisdom charisma intelligence and constition lol try building around the need for 4 primary stats.

Dead Game, Buncha Old Boomers Who Wont And Apparently Can Not Give up the EverQuest Feel. Its Called Move on.
Cannot recommend this game. You cannot play this game solo and achieve really anything at all, it forces you to play with a group but the game is dead. Was actually a fun game for a while but if you need to find a group to do skeletons or goblins at low level you're basically SOL. Some classes are a bit better than others for doing some solo content but that kind of makes the rest of the classes completely useless since they're extremely party oriented like the enchanter. Hope the game recovers but I don't think it ever will. It's been in development for 10 years and they have made such small progress in that time that I wouldn't wait for any meaningful updates for years at a a time. There is no way to customize your build at all, they have a mastery system for skills but no date to when that's even coming out.. Therefore if you pick a Paladin then you're just like every other paladin out there. There is no variety in building your character and it makes progression feel very flat. If you do end up finding a group then I hope you have a couple hours to waste to get one level if you're lucky. It takes about 30 seconds to 1 minute to kill 1 mob and you need to kill A LOT to level up. Game is unfortunately just a big waste of time at this point and you should save yourself the money and time and just stay away. :(
I've put a good amount of time into EA on this game. It has some fun parts and a decent foundation, largely mimicking EQ but with a modern coat of paint, but EA was released way too early. The devs are regularly unprofessional, over-promise but under-deliver, and lack consistent direction. There's a reason this game has been in progress for 10 years with so little to show for it. I hope that they can get it together and put out a final product but I fear this game will never leave EA and I feel for the people who've been backing it for so long.
Devs favor specific groups / people and will ban / suspend accounts of players that compete with these favored individuals in open world content without notice nor reprieve nor sustenance. AKA 2 guilds compete to kill an open world mob on a 3 hr spawn timer. 1 guild is favored by the devs, the other is not. The guild that is not favored comes out on top in the competition. The guild that is not favored gets their accounts locked while the devs "look into allegations". Game is ran by private server admins.
Meh
Unfinished; No map, cant find others, and no indicatiors for anything.... Zero hand holding in a flatly broken, or unfinished game. Tutorials are stupid, and do NOT explain ♥♥♥♥. Needs ALOT of work. horrific experience, and im an avid MMO diehard.
A great game with incredible potential. Many of us are just waiting for the wipe to jump back in.
this game plans to have no map ever at all the compass is just not enough visual memory can only work so far this game will not grow as the game devs think you have a lot of persons out there that needs a map to find there way hope game devs can live with a very small limited profit making ability sucks aoc died and this game will die at some point to game devs not using there heads no i do not recommend this game best to keep looking for the next best rpg to come down the pipe don't do the mistake i did by paying 40 usd sucks steam won't give me that back to
Only 5hrs in, but its so chill to play a game with a slower pace. Soundtrack is amazing, and so much to learn and explore. I now find myself looking forward to coming home and jumping online. So far playing solo has not been an issue!
