PANTHEON: RISE OF THE FALLEN IS A DEEPLY SOCIAL HIGH FANTASY MMO
GAME THAT CHALLENGES ITS PLAYERS AND REWARDS EFFORT.
It has been 500 years since the Deicide War severed the connection between the people and their gods. The Ravaging Lord pushed nations across Terminus to near extinction before the Dragon King himself appeared and brought an end to the bloodshed.
Now, the denizens of Terminus must uncover the mysteries of their past and unlock the silenced power of their gods. For war will come again. And this time the dragons won’t be there to save you.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
I am sorry, but this game should NOT have been released for monetary value... This is barely even a game ffs. I honestly thought some of the reviews were just being a bit harsh, until I logged into my first character and realized... OH MY F*CKING GOD... Only 200 people playing at the time of writing this review, and I quickly found out why... First; Your "starting skills" are in your damn inventory... Didn't even know this, and I was running around like an idiot, not knowing what to do or how to do anything. There are zero starting quests, you start in a cave and have to find your way out (mind you I only learned all of this because someone was nice enough to stop what they were doing and come help me), and then you are met with mobs that are 5 levels above you and practically one shot you... There's "We don't want to hold your hand and let you find your way", and then there's "We don't know what we're doing, so we hope you figure it out" lol... And to the 6 people that were absolutely GLAZING the dev's in my server chat.... Get help lol Second; There are quests in the game, but there is no indicator or anything on who has what lol... So you're just mindlessly clicking on NPCs hoping they have a quest or something for you. Literally EVERY MMO IN HISTORY HAS QUEST INDICATORS!!! WHERE ARE THEY?!?! Who released this? Seriously, who tf thought this was playable? This isn't even f*cking Early Access, this is a first phase alpha bulletin board "I have an idea!" project that shouldn't even be on this platform yet. Y'all made Scam Citizen look like an officially released game with this bare bones nothing burger. Refunded! TL;DR: Save your money, and I know this review sounds harsh, but that's only because I am so sick of developers thinking they can sell a game at full (or almost full) price for an "idea" of a game... And after New World and Throne of Liberty and so many countless MMO flops lately... I'm just f*cking tired at this point and have zero empathy for half-baked garbage, under the guise of "Early Access". I am coming from the classic bangers of the early 2000's... I never played EQ, but Vanguard: Sega of Heros... Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning... Guild Wars 2.... Elder Scrolls Online.. New World before Amazon killed it.. I will keep an eye out on this game, but it's not worth my money. You got a lot of work to do.

It is blatantly obvious that Visionary Realms does not have the resources, manpower, or expertise to build a game of this scope and scale. We're nearing 6 months into the 2 year timeline they gave to get from Early Access to 1.0, and the only things on the following list of core features slated for that time frame that have been implemented are a rudimentary first take on Druids and Jewelcrafting. - Classes: Druid, Bard - Professions: Jewelcrafting, Fishing - Races: Ashen Elf, Gnome, Skar, Arachai - 99% of racial traits and mechanics - 10-15+ missing zones, including ~7 out of 9(?) starting zones they insist on making for every individual race for some reason - not a single zone has been added in the entirety of Early Access - Every class needs to be revamped or at least fleshed out up to lv40 - Every bit of the game needs to be developed lv41-50 - Some semblance of any kind of endgame - More than 2 garbage models for any given armor or weapon slot/type - Mounts - Bank stacking (ridiculous that this bug still exists) - Paragliders - The entire Mastery system, which is their core character customization feature, doesn't exist at all Every patch is just fixing bugs from the last patch, introducing new bugs, and mindless low/mid level class tweaks that mean nothing in the long run because core systems are missing and no max level content exists to balance the classes against. By their own admission they have essentially no QA department (or even a single full-time QA employee), so I guess every patch is just shooting from the hip and crossing their fingers, which is never going to work.
My wife and I play this together. While you can solo to some extent, it is a lot more fun with friends. The crafting is nice as far as food/drink, bags and boxes for the bank slots. There are still a lot of things that need improvements before the game is released, but I still enjoy it as is, and look forward to more features as it is developed.
Painful to play, no quality of life, spend most of your time running back to get your body like EQ. Soloing while possible is super slow and you will be killed often which erases all your work when you lose all your gear and XP to boot.
Not having a map is more punishing that the xp loss or ITEMS DROP in death . Not having the map then makes the finding of the corpse Extrreemly hard . i love the vibe of the game but not a reason to be so hard .... you have to be costant aware to where you are .... witch without a map is a full time job and i have one :)
I've put a good amount of time into EA on this game. It has some fun parts and a decent foundation, largely mimicking EQ but with a modern coat of paint, but EA was released way too early. The devs are regularly unprofessional, over-promise but under-deliver, and lack consistent direction. There's a reason this game has been in progress for 10 years with so little to show for it. I hope that they can get it together and put out a final product but I fear this game will never leave EA and I feel for the people who've been backing it for so long.
Its not a game worth playing . Bad development team whom insisted on the idea of wiping in early access when you had paid for the game. There are so many MMORPG in the market and 1 new upcoming 1 like Monster and memories which had better plan than this dev team. Dont waste your time on this game . Players will always be splitted with wipe in mind and wont commit to play the game and feel the game which are majority of the player base . then players whom commited to playing the game eventually have their progression wiped. Stats wise is so messed up if you log into the game you will see strength = melee damages and int = spell damage but willful and amature dev had changed all that to con = hit and alot wierd stats change which cause half the players to drop the game. Wait for Monster and memories which has early access as initial launch and no wipes. Eventually 1.0 launch new servers will be launched.
This game is DoA imo, lots of bugs , lots of set backs and honestly I dont think the Devs have a Clue what they are doing, dont waste your time or money on this.
Pantheon is like, if nostalgia had a baby with a CRT monitor and raised it on Hot Pockets and dial-up rage. —you might wanna hold out for Monsters & Memories. Supposed to hit EA in the beginning of 2026, and it’s got that EverQuest soul your looking for but with less emotional damage.....
/shrug it wasnt super from off the bat from my perspective. im an old school daoc main and mordred fiend and this game didnt catch me like the early grind daoc did. if i could give this game a middle rating i would but since i cant i would not recommend
