Pamali: Indonesian Folklore Horror

As an indonesian myself i really enjoyed this game, shows a pretty accurate depictions of a few indonesian folklore.

Pamali The White Lady is a really cool gateway into Indonesian urban legends. The idea of combining culture and horror is already interesting, but what makes the game stand out is that it doesn't just slap Indonesian folklore onto a generic horror game. It deeply respects the culture and actively incorporates it into the gameplay. My favorite part is the report you get after each ending. It explains which actions were considered respectful and which were not, teaching the player about Indonesian customs and beliefs. For example, I found it fascinating that sharp objects are believed to offer protection against spirits. The main hub also features a bulletin board that gradually fills up with information, evidence, and facts. The more endings you discover, the more you learn, which gives exploration a real sense of purpose. As for the gameplay itself, it's solid. The visuals are good, the atmosphere is tense, and some of the scares land really well. That said, not every scare is a winner. A few come across as a bit cheap or even goofy, which can break the tension at times, but these are relatively minor issues. My main grievance lies with the endings. Some of them are incredibly specific and feel almost impossible to discover without a guide. I don't mind a bit of trial and error, but certain requirements are so obscure that they feel unreasonable. On top of that, several endings are very repetitive. A lot of them boil down to cleaning the entire house and then doing one specific extra action, which becomes tedious after the third or fourth run. Overall, Pamali The White Lady is an amazing horror game and a fascinating look into Indonesian folklore. It's a great experience for horror fans, but completionists should be prepared for a fair amount of repetition and some frustratingly obscure ending requirements.

This game is good if you from indonesia, cause yeahhh it's relatable with the culture and mitology :/

I love this game. So far I have only played the original, The White Lady, but I will play the DLC soon also. I hope you continue to make more DLC for this game. In some ways, I feel like this game is similar to the old Silent Hill games in a way that I really like, but it is also different from anything else I have played. I highly recommend.
