Yes I do miss the original voice acting but this game feels short and bare bones.
Okay so like.. I really don't get the hate to this one. It's definitely down there for sure. It feels a bit cheap and if you know the history behind this company, it makes sense (corporate politics, yuck.) But I don't know man, this team still wanted to make the best game they could give the resources and I think they pulled it off here. The puzzle logic is pretty unique, it's the only PJSam game to make me care about the optional collectables, some of the musics pretty nice, and it's the only HE game to have a plot twist I didn't expect. Given, it's a pretty basic one, but the stories of these games are pretty straightforward. I went in fully expecting to hate this one after everything I've heard but it ended up being pretty alright!
I stopped playing after the 5 minutes of cutscene and the ♥♥♥ sock getting bullied
Well... The game's animation is severely cut, resulting in a horribly low FPS and a very poor viewing and playability. However, the developer's company had essentially already disbanded by then, so it's no surprise the game turned out so strange.
И кстати, "Pajama Sam 4 Life Is Rough When You Lose Your Stuff!"
|Drunk SeriesSeries Review| Pajama Sam 4: Life Is Rough When You Lose Your Stuff is about Sam losing his "mint" condition #1 Pajama Man comic book in his mess of a room. He needs that comic to get signed by "Pajama Man" at a mall meet-n-greet. Kind of disappointing that the imagination portal was just a messy clothes pile and not like another point in the house, maybe the laundry room. Puzzles weren't that hard this time around. I kept getting annoyed when Sam describes his comic book as "mint" condition, he didn't even have it in a plastic sleeve until his hands were all grimmy and then he touches it, sir that comic is in good condition at best. They changed the voice of Sam, and really the whole voice acting sounded off. I do not like his new voice. Drunk me and my babysitters had a good time with it overall. I do agree with people about a number of issues with this game, such as the voice acting, poor lip syncing, linear gameplay, and lack of returning characters from the previous games. However, I recommend the game, because it still has challenging puzzles and catchy music, even though it's not in the style of previous Humongous Entertainment games. The option to play the game's minigames on the game's menu is also a plus, because you can play them anytime you feel like it (the Debris Game reminds me of Bejeweled)! Overall, this is an OK game and I do play it occasionally.
I recommend this game if you love old time nostalgia for old pc games. HOWEVER: There's a weird bug in the game where you can't launch the game without a cd rom(the game will try to open, and then immediately crash without an error code). There are ways around it, but it either requires buying/having a compatible cd rom player that can connect to your computer(didn't work for my computer, unfortunately) or using a tool you can download called "Daemon Tool" where you can create a virtual rom player in your computer, which will take up more space on your computer. If you don't have much space on your computer, or don't have the funds for a cd rom player, I would wait until you do! Still a fun game if you have these requirements!
«Pajama Sam 4» - is a continuation of the «Pajama Sam» adventure game series, released after «Humongous Entertainment» came under the wing of «Atari». Atmosphere: The game is more reminiscent of the first installment, bringing back the cozy and slightly mysterious vibe that fans loved. However, compared to previous games, the world feels less detailed and immersive. Sam’s Voice: One of the biggest changes is the new voice actor. Unfortunately, Sam's voice has become less expressive, which may disappoint longtime fans. Animation: Character movements appear less fluid, and scenes are less detailed. This significantly impacts the overall perception of the game. Conclusion: While «Pajama Sam 4» does not reach the level of the first two games, it remains a decent adventure for children. However, changes in voice acting and a generally simplified approach to gameplay make it less memorable for longtime fans of the series.
I had this game when I was younger and I never figured out how to finish it. But I can now proudly say that 17 years later and as a grown man(child) that I was able to beat Pajama Sam 4!!! Also if the game isn't booting up for you, you either have to have a physical disc drive plugged into your computer or install Daemon tools to get a virtual disc drive.
