Si no quiero usar parry y quiero esquivar, no puedo, solo rodar.
I recommend this, bc i want to support the game. BUT, it's more no than yes. As others have said the concept is really good, but the execution fails in more than one spot. Aside from the general jankyness, which is forgivable given the scope of the game and the time and money constraints, the game fails also in the core novelty it wants to offer. The survival aspect becomes trivial quite quickly, flattening the travel mechanic as well, since you just end up running as fast as possible between cities because if you are following the quests. The game has a standard rpg structure in which you get your mission and than report back to main city/npcs. It does not structure those missions around staying in the wild for long periods of time, pushing you to actually use those camp/eat/drink elements. Therefore It ends up being go from A to B, but those distances are usually so small that you end up arriving in half a day(so, no survival needed). One of the cool aspect of the game is that it require preparation, based on where you have to go or travel. But the problem is that the game is sometime pretty blurry on where you gonna end up being. So maybe you got send to region B, you pack your things but once you arrive to B you got sent to the super hot region C, for which you are not prepared, so you need to go back to your home in region A and RUN RUN RUN A LOT, just straight up running for minutes, back and forth. And if you forgot those survival cookies you are not allowed to travel between regions, so you need to run back or hope to find some salt. Travel ends up being tedious and redundant, also because there is not even any traversal mechanic, so... Some ideas for the combat are cool, it feels a bit like a blend between dark souls and dragons dogma. But the execution is really weak, but at least solid enough to make you deal with it once you understand it. Even if it's pretty inconsistent and unbalanced. The death mechanic is cool, but after a while u notice that makes mostly no sense. Is often not so punishing, and it does not offer custom punishments based on the type of death. (if bandits defeat and kidnap you, even if you got 300 silver they will just rob a little portion of it), sometimes u get send to the bottom of a main dungeon, basically ruining the level progression. After a while you'll noticed that is simply tedious rather than punishing, you basically never lose something. Timed quest are great for such a game, but again they are a bit blurry and you kinda have to guess and hope, even when a time frame could at least be vaguely defined. So yes, cool concept; try it because it's worth even for try those features. But don't expect a polished and well balanced experience! I hope that for the second game they will work harder on polishing and improving the combat and fix and improve those interesting mechanics.

Good!
This is the ultimate open world survival game. Hard, but fair.
