No remarkable journey is achieved without great effort. In Outward, the cold of the night or an infected wound can be as dangerous as a predator lurking in the dark. Explore the vast world of Aurai solo or in Co-op. The Definitive Edition features both DLCs and quality of life improvements.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

it's like monster hunter when it was good

This game had a lot of potential to be a fun and exciting open world adventure game; however the game's developers have gone out of their way to make the game dam frustrating as hell to play by design. It could have been a huge hit with a massive player base, but probably turns off a lot of potential players. The core problem with this game is that it is supposed to be a large, expansive open world exploration and survival game, and yet the player has few tools to do any of this because the game has the worst inventory and travel system of any game ever made. To try to deal with the game's horrible inventory system, you can run a specific quest or spend hours looking for power coils to get the biggest backpack in the game. This pack is needed from the start. I had to google youtube guides for it. Without this backpack you will have huge problems gathering and crafting anything with the game's tiny inventory system. The same system means forget about going in heavy armour as it just too heavy. Expect a non functional map like in gothic, but even worse, with no teleportation, no mounts and no pack animals nor wagons or carts. Expect a frustrating health, mana and stamina daily reduction system which is just a royal pain in the .... The game can be a huge pain in the ass to play and is only worth it with a heavy discount on Steam. For less frustrating alternatives to Outward, I would recommend games like Soul Mask, Conan Exiles, Dune, Valheim, Enshrouded, Crimson Desert, Palworld, and Gothic 1 Remake and Gothic 2 Gold, which are all games that do everything that Outward want's to do but are 100% less frustrating.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Really good, reminds me of old school MMO days, angled at a more cooperative experience. Please be aware this game is very difficult and requires a patient approach.

It's okay. Would play again. Gameplay is challenging, but fair. There are hidden timers and triggers for some objectives so don't waste time and consider how your interactions with the world might affect the outcome of current and future quests.
I am not sure how to describe this game. I love open world rpgs. This game is addictively frustrating coming from playing other games. You are ordinary! Your not going to beat the boss and save the world while your bleeding out, poisoned, and on fire like a hero. You will realize this soon when you walk in to kill a couple of bandits and they kick your azz. You wake up in prison naked and game informs you they took half the silver you were carrying. Plus you have to find your gear. Crazy, Frustrating, Exciting, Cheering, Finally defeated you named boss for cool unique weapon! Yeeahhh! Lots of options for what type of character you want to be, but you have to work for it. Grind money for skills, make it to other areas to get skills. But it is worth it when you get your build going blasting through dungeons, setting up buffs with spells or potions about to take on a boss for the first time...so worth it. At the time of writing I am about to start my second full fresh playthrough. Going to build a new class, pick a different faction, Maybe not get my tail handed to me by bandits, freeze to death, or lost in a ghost prison running from skeletons. I honestly cant wait for Outward 2. I bought this game on sale with the definitive edition. I love it!
Game flippin' sucks, bro. Can't attack without being attacked and killed at the same time. Blocking barely works. Dodging barely works. Devs should learn from FromSoftware. Edit: It's got it's charm. Clunky as fugg but.. it's charming.
