Great for Early Access - Nowhere near Full Release Good: - Realistic Spaceflight, need to move your base to Moon/Mars before establishing. - Realistic base structures, no far future stuff. - Graphics are nice. Bad: - No key mapping options, you don't even know what a key does. - Cannot cancel tasks, which are auto-given by game to astronauts. - Cannot dump extra payload -i.e. supplies which creates problems if you want to return. - Most of the options are there but not clickable, i.e. no research for Starship or base systems. Ugly: - This game is 0.1 at best, nowhere near 1.1 that developer claims. - When there is a construction, game halts to 0.2 frames per second you speed up the time. - UI needs a fix as some elements don't scale with resolution. - Cannot command astronauts to eat/sleep/have fun. - Astronauts are dumb, one of mine died due to lack of oxygen while trying to work 10 meters from the airlock. Suggestions for the developer: - Move this game to Early Access ASAP, otherwise this is bordering on fraud. - This is not a 25USD game, but rather 5 USD in its current state. - Provide a roadmap for fixes, known issues and planned features.
This should be labeled as Early Access. It just seems clunky. Not worth $25 imho.
This is far from ready and should be under early access. Controls are wonky and unclear. Doing research is boring with no depth. Characters are even shallower, with nothing to put them apart from each other. Gaining a level on a character does nothing. Upgrading a rocket to carry more payload, doesn't stop you from buying stuff you actually can't place on the moon and you end up quitting the game since there's no load option. Could have gotten the proverbial "maybe" button, but thumbs down for now.
Very relaxed game about exploring space. While similar games, like kerbel, focus on building the rockets, Outer Space Shack creates a focus on the bases them selves and hits a niche that very few games do. Th developer is very open to comments and suggestions about the game and improvements for it. You can tell this is a passion project for them.If you like the idea of simple space base building in the 1970s, or want to support a single person developer who just releases a game and is slowly developing more for what the actual players want, this should be on your list.
A fun colony sim that has realistic elements behind it without sacrificing the fun factor that alot of other realistic space games do. While I agree with another reviewer that this probably should have been released under Early Access, it has enough content at the moment to have fun building a 60's era moon base. With the further development promised and foundation of the game right now, this will become one of the most interesting colony sims out there on the market. I fully recommend this game at the moment and encourage others to try it out for the content as is and what it will eventually become.
Updates are slow/non-existent. Im sure this game will turn into something great, the foundation is all there. Its just not ready yet and the price is far too high for what is there.
very good love it well done well done
the game crashed beacuse of a gamebreaking bug and i lost everything i had buildt, the huge moon base i had buildt
Doit encore s'améliorer mais ce jeu a du potentiel
I am enjoying the game but should be early access. Can't cancel a project on the moon to relocate or wait to redo at a different time. If you try to do anything out of order of the very brief walk through it cancels and then no way to start it again. Expect rough go like an early access but the very short time I have played I have enjoyed. Definatly needs more polish and a guide on how to use the astronauts on how to assemble items, when items can be used so you don't just buy them and then have to leave them with no way to move them. A LOT more polish needs to go into this...DEV please change this to a Early Access. This is not ready for full release.
