TL;DR: It's slow. It's a huge grind. It's annoying and tedious. Satisfying gameplay is gobbled up rapidly. Play a different digging game. The fun wears off very quickly. It's more of a grind than anything. Max level is reached quickly, you run out of things to buy, and you can only buy things one at a time. Buying multiple cave dynamite is so tedious that it becomes a game of patience. The sheer slog of digging through the dirt only to find everything is a dead end in every direction you look is soul crushing. Even with the drill it's so slow. The automated digging drills are so slow and expensive that they become effectively useless. The inability to stack items in your inventory makes things even more tedious and annoying.
Horrible game, you dig for hours and get gems and work your way up but you can't even save your progress like the description says you are supposed to be able to. Could use with a better system over all including adding a save option!
The concept and the premise of needing to find the right way is itself really nice, if it wouldnt be so big and there would be clues of where to go. The inventory could be bigger and there would be a stacking system for the TNT. Its still very satisfying and well made. I also really liked the music. There could be a few more things more but its still playable the way it is. I can recommend it.
Digging hole in the Earth is soo satisfying. One recommendation to the dev: somehow make the floating dirt pieces fall to the ground so there won't be so many invisible blockers in the air. I really liked the mood how the postman just vomits the ordered good to the ground. 5* Fun, and engaging gameplay.
short but interesting, the latest update made the game actually playable... i still would like to see bigger drills for 75k and 200k . maybe then i would get back to it and tryed to clear it 100 %, also max level could be 20 instead of 9.... why to limit it when there is no PVP?
I can see where some people might consider this a "grind" and not like that. Honestly, I just love digging. I beat the actual content of the game pretty easily. I've continued to play because I'm trying to clear out all of the dirt completely (yes there's something wrong with me). I love just opening this and mindlessly digging for an hour or so after work, really great with a video on in the background. The texture of the dirt as it's drilled is so satisfying, sometimes looks like claymation. If you like just making dirt disappear, occasionally finding a shiny, and eventually walking into a giant empty underground temple with a sense of accomplishment, then I'd say get it. That being said, cons/bugs I will note: - Sometimes the ores fall into a little sliver I just barely can't reach, so I can never pick them up and they just sit there driving me insane - Sometimes the ores just.. fall into the ground, like, through the ground. Sometimes I can manage to still have the option to pick them up if I move my mouse over the right spot, but a lot of them just become completely lost - Sometimes the store gets kind of messed up? Like, I can't tell if it's random or if I go over a specific dollar amount, but sometimes when I go to sell it says I have 0 of everything and says it will give me 999, though I still get the actual larger amount I should get - The inventory still has a few bugs, like sometimes randomly putting 1 of the item in a different slot instead of in the stack. You can just drop it and pick it back up and it usually fixes it. It also sometimes still tells me I have an item in an inventory slot after i use the last one (dynamite mostly), but I don't mind - The bug that is the most annoying is sometimes the teleporter just DOESN'T work? I get really deeply, teleport to camp, sell, and then the teleport back in doesn't work, so I go wandering and go without a teleporter until I manage to find it again wherever tf I left it - Ok wait no, the most annoying bug (maybe not even a bug but a thing that can happen) is sometimes there's just a SLIVER of dirt left, just, so so small, and I try digging it from every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ angle for literally like 20 minutes (as I said, yes I have problems) until I eventually finally manage to catch it right, or I just use dynamite nearby to get it. IDK if there's a way to fix that but..... please know it hurts me - The truck throwing each object 1 by 1 is fun and cute, but sometimes, when you buy 40 dynamite, you'd like maybe a bulk option? - I'd love if there's someday some kind of sonar device to help locate things like the teleporter pad, and the digging drills. I set the drills and get distracted wandering around and can never find them again. I have 2 just... out there somewhere. Honestly though, love this game. None of these bugs have ever made me just entirely stop having fun or stop playing, but I'm also a pretty patient person who's mining dirt for 50+ hours so... I'd LOVE if you eventually expanded the kinds of things you find underground. I'm getting plenty of fun out of the game for myself, but the actual ruins and stuff were all discovered pretty quickly. Also spoilers but like, will the portal ever take us anywhere??? It might be on purpose and supposed to mean something, but finding that crazy portal just to get a screen telling me that's the end was kind of a let down. If you are ever looking for play testers honestly hit me tf up I could play this shirt for hours.
This is an interesting one. Its massive, like REALLY big. I initially wanted to dig out all the dirt and the sheer scale of this game actually defeated my OCD! At 26 hours total I saw just how much I still had to go and waved the white flag. In fairness alot of the difficulty comes from some issues in the game. Inventory being capped at 24 seems a huge drawback as once you get deep the trip back to sell takes an age. Also the drill just isnt good enough for the task at hand, its too slow and weak to make anything other than slow progress. Dynamite helps ALOT but its too expensive to be relied upon. Its got potential, but I think it needs to cook a little longer. A couple of simple improvements to help you dig faster, and maybe either increase inventory by alot or have a mobile shop to sell on the go and I think we have a winner!
I liked it. It could use some work but nothing totally broken. It's very peaceful and the music isn't annoying, the digging is satisfying and the upgrades seem beefy. I completed it in about 9 hours, but I liked the story and ending. I will probably play it again just to meditate on the digging.
