If you're looking for a grim/dark fantasy game where you feel like you are fighting a losing battle try this game. The game is hard, and unforgiving but everytime you defeat a new boss it feel so rewarding. The soundtracks range from good to epic. It took me about 20-30h to 100% this game. I wouldn't pay full price but when at 60% off or more I would. Right now its 90% off, I would jump on it.

The best things about the game is the artistic direction and the music. Well.. certain OSTs. The strategy isn't as in depth as I would have hoped but it's a fun grind. I won't spoil the OP strategy, but picked this up for like $3 on sale. Worth a good 16 hours. There are some battle mechanics are are a bit RNG like mobs randomly spawning near you and kill your units. Or the misses. You expecting to kill a unit but miss. You'd have to dig a bit for the story, or I just used AI to tell me what the story was.
Good art, meh tactic, bad roguelite. The entire roguelite system and difficulty feels like a cheap cover up for rather lackluster content quantity, glorified by narrative design but still cheap nonetheless. If you manage to beat the game in a single run, despite the difficulty and intended RNG BS (they are not very deadly, and the game isn't that hard, as long as you can soak up the loss aversion), what the game offers in tactical sense is pretty shallow. But since the game is on constant 90% off now, it's still a great deal that definitely worth your time.

Light story, but impactful in its delivery. Fun and challenging tactical gameplay.
