The game's alright, would recommend applying its teachings in real life.
Super easy to 100% and get all achievements. The game itself is alright. Only about 3 hours long max. The best part by far is the tunes. The end credit song slaps and a lot of the background instrumentals are great. Movement is meh and the roguelike mode added as an update is very barebones but was free. Solid 6/10 that I'm hoping the sequel improves on
¿¿Qué pagar impuestos es obligatorio?? Jajajaja, que buen chiste ¿Qué sigue, es ilegal el lavado de dinero?
Definitely worth on sale, about 80%
The story is genuinely insane, and surprisingly has a high capability of having really deep lore or at least a spinoff that does not have Turnip Boy and instead tells the story of the other characters. I finished it in about 2 Hours. The story is fun and whacky, art style is great, music is good... though, I just don't recommend getting it in full price.
In terms of story and endgame...
Honestly, not much to do, but at least there's even something to begin with which is nice. The story itself is extremely linear, which is fine, but I guess I was just hoping that there would be some dialogue noticing and reacting to the things that I do. In the end, the characters just basically become signs that say the same thing over and over again. I can remember at most 1 character that has dialogue that actually reacts to your actions in the open world and not related to the main story.
If I were to rate it to the Toby Standards
5/5 Story, 3/5 Music, 1/5 Responsiveness
If you're on Linux...
Force Proton, since the native version does not work and honestly should just be removed from the versions.
Aprendi bastante como burlar o governo e fazer evasão fiscal. Ótimo tutorial.
this game is butt i played this and my cat walked in and she died on the spot and my dad died and my house fell down
Turnip boy 1 is overall a mixed bag, the comments are often funny, but I was very on and off about it's gameplay and boss fights, mostly because of the constant backtracking. I don't even know what I would call the genre that turnip boy is in, cause it tries to be a little bit of everything. I felt like it could've gone more bonkers. The song at the end is a nice tune tho and the final and final (true) boss fights are the highlights of this game, but it's another one of those games where a "mixed" review option would've make my review be more truthful of what I actually feel about it. Regardless it is certainly has it's moments, and it's has interesting tidbits, and certainly offers a great variety, and I would be lying if it didn't make me chuckle.
This is THE coolest game EVER🤤.
Fun little game with a cute story you can finish in a couple hours. Make sure to talk to every character and interact with everything to find hidden items. Early bosses are easy, but Liz is a massive difficulty spike — honestly harder than the final boss. Still a charming, quick, and enjoyable play.
