must play for metroidvania enjoyers
bom dms
I've recently been VERY into metroid-vanias, so I bought a few earlier this month when they went on special, I don't even remember ever hearing about this one but boy was it a nice surprise, gameplay is fluid, graphics are beautiful and story isn't overly complicated, I 100% it on my first gameplay without help from any sort of guides, which is always a nice thing, they devs don't seem to have tried to make a "git-good or get gone" kind of game, the learning curve is very comprehensive and made me feel that, although challenging, nothing was out of reach if you locked in and focused on the task at hand. An all around good time, not too short, not too long, and like in my case, having fluid gameplay where you're not dying because of bugs or glitches is a MUST, which this game delivers on beautifully. 10/10 recommend, I still have the second part on my list to play in the near future. Hope it keeps all the qualities in this one and improves wherever improvements can be made.
The game was being kinda meh if I'm being honest. - The combat is WAY too simple just a single button mashing, because if you do anything else it's either WAY too inconvinient (Smash) or uses the resources that you use to heal and SAVE THE GAME - You have a limited resource that you need to save the game/heal, it's not something you get from killing enimies, it's not something that you regain over time. You have to find these VERY specific crystals and break them - AND if you don't find these crystals and save yourself, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ I think that in 5 hours of gameplay the game auto saved twice and neither of those were after you got a new hability or unlocked a new part of the map. SO if you can't find the crystals and you unlock an hability and DIE you have to go do it ALL OVER AGAIN - The enviroment is very beautiful and things in the foreground look super cool UNFORTUNATELY some times enemies hide there and you can't see them AND DIE - The controllers are very janky and you can't change them so ♥♥♥♥ you I guess HOWEVER, the music is pretty, the game is very well talked about AND the design is beautiful so I continued playing. Maybe it got better. Now, I don't think my computer is all that bad, as you can see in the specs. But the game kept on CRASHING when the cutscene about the Element of the Wind played. AND NOW, I CAN'T EVEN PROVE MYSELF WRONG AND SEE HOW COOL THIS GAME SUPPOSEDLY IS. Honestly? 0/10 because it's literally unplayable
