Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 15 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

TLDR: Game is awesome, technically it is a completed game although it is missing things that the devs were talking about adding such as new characters, but the developers are officially MIA, the game is apparently abandoned, and this is something Robot Entertainment is known for with all of the OMD titles according to veterans of the series. So for starters as you can tell by my playtime, I loved this game, right? Even 100% with achievements because I enjoyed it that much. The game is admittedly awesome! The characters are all charming in their own ways, all the different trap combinations are pretty cool if not limited compared to older games, and the graphics are gorgeous in my opinion. That is where it ends. I played the game religiously, but I had taken a break, waiting for something new to be added that has never came. As far as everything I've seen, the devs have completely abandoned the game, which appears to be something they do with all of their games. I was in the Discord at one point, not active but watching, and you could see as the team just slowly disappeared until the last Octoberfest update came out and since then it had been radio silence. I even recalled talks of new characters from Kyle, of the team working on a dwarf character, and mentions of another voice actor saying she would like to bring back a character from Unchained (Zoey I think?) but clearly none of that ever happened. As far as I know, many bugs and glitches are still active, a lot of things have been left unoptimized, and I frankly just can't recommend people support a game and team like this. From what I've seen others say since this is the first OMD game I've ever played, the dev team is known to do this with all of their games and it's just came to be expected. Is it a full game? Technically yes. Are a lot of things missing the team promised? Also yes. If you don't care about the morality of it all and just want to take out some orcs and have a good time, this game is for you, but otherwise, I would suggest either avoiding it, or waiting on a really good sale before snagging it.

Game deleted my longest run. You have to complete runs in order to upgrade your stats, which are artificially tanked at game start in order to give you something to spend meta currency on. When it killed my save it also deleted all the currency that I'd earned. If you have so little confidence in your game being fun that you need to incentivize playtime with meaningless little stat boost skill trees, at least be competent enough to make the game not delete that progress when it hits a little lag.
Feels weird not recommending an Orcs Must Die game. Everything seems geared for 4 players, even the single player campaign. OMD 1,2,3 are some of my favorite games. There haven't been any updates this year, and the game needs a massive patch in order to be decent. Longtime fan votes do not buy.
Lackluster game compared to the rest of the franchise and it was abandoned after about 6 months of content. The fact that it still hasn't got an Endless mode to this date is pretty baffling as it was the most requested feature by the players. I hope Robot can bring an OMD 4 to life, but i'm not even certain this game was a commercial success to ensure the franchise lives on.
Avoid at all cost. Dead life service, 7 people in server browser on EU. Why would you make high detail models, good textures, and high quality visuals, if you then slap blur smudge filters on top of it and turn nice looking game into colorfull blobs with TSR anti aliasing? And if you don't use it-> boiling shadows, making game look like unholy crap, for a moment i was wondering if my pc broke.
I really enjoy the other Orcs Must Die! games, but this one doesn't hit home for me. I always thought it was great that you could play the missions solo. I don't often play coop or multiplayer games anymore, mostly due to finding available time to play with others. I also have no interest in playing with randoms. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to play the majority of the maps in Deathtrap because they are so large and require more barricades than you are allotted. I can tell the devs wanted Deathtrap to focus more on the heroes, their abilities and using them more than any of the OMD predecessors. I'm not particularly interested in tower defense games that rely more on using a player controlled hero to do most of the defense. I loved that in the other games you could form long choke points with awesome combos using a multitude of different traps. You simply can't do that in Deathtrap, at least not as a solo player. That's exactly why I will end up giving this a thumbs down because I feel it's a downgrade from previous OMD games. My suggestion to help fix the game is: * Please remove the number restriction of barricades from the game. This will make playing solo bearable! BUT, I don't want to say the game can't be fun. Because I bet it's a ton of fun with friends. Keep that in mind if you are considering to purchase Deathtrap. Sorry Robot Entertainment, I believe you folks really let us down with this one but it can be saved!
Game devs have been MIA for 7 months and don't interact with players. Game is abandoned like every other title they own and these people don't deserve to make more games. How do you have the recipe for success every single time, make promises and continue to break them every SINGLE time. I love this series dearly but I just cant with the lack of content that was once promised. Me and my friends are very disappointed, ROBOT ENTERTAINMENT need to shapen up.
I am a lover of the orcs must die series. I appreciate that the developers were trying something different but it does not land as well as its predecessors
This is some weird franchise downgrade compared even to OMD 3. Character design is bad, also visuals and etc. Honestly this looks like a expensive beta-version of the full game.
