It's kind of neat conceptually, but this game is an absolute nightmare in practice. It's extremely fast paced, with there being no way to pause the game and take a breath between waves of enemies. This itself wouldn't be too much of an issue, but it also requires a lot of micromanagement from what I've seen; your miner units will get hungry after a while, which requires them to go to a cauldron, but if there's too much distance between them and a cauldron, they'll just... sit their asses down and wait for you to pick them up and place them near a cauldron. It also starts running pretty poorly, from what I've seen, after your dungeon gets sufficiently large. I don't know. I think it's still neat, even if it frustrates and confuses me.
Fun little retro, reverse dungeon crawler! Love the pico art and music. Gets pretty unwieldy once you start mining outside the main screen. The Trog AI needs some work. Sometimes one will stop mining for no reason and wait for another Trog to walk all the way across the map to mine a square and then it will wake up again. Wish the mining was a little more automated in general. IMO it'd be more fun to have the focus be on setting traps and creating monsters to battle the onslaught of humans. I would also like to request a hot key to recenter the view on the Orb!

Interesting game. A more streamlined simplified Dungeon Keeper. You did to find gold and unlock new buildings through finding scrolls why humans attack and you need to find tablets to win the game. I had fun, my only issue was with micro managing diggers, they need to periodically eat food, but they would very often just not go get food or even stop working because they were far away, so you need to drag and drop them, but it can be awkward to have to hold left click while pressing right click to move around, sometimes you would miss click and it would fail I you would need to go back to click on the digger. That's my main issue with the game, controls and micro managing. Still had fun and it's a simple game where you can go for "a little run" when you a couple minutes to fill.
Just like Dungeon Keeper of old, but way faster paced - those relentless humans don't give in easily! Love it!
Not too bad, can be a bit of fun. But it is super short. Would only buy it for like 1-2€
honestly a really bad game, you can lose instantly because the game spawns the adventurers in the orbs room. you basic units can only dig and eat, and the actual attacker costs 10 gold, so by the time you've gotten the money for it, there's already an adventurer attacking the orb. there is zero down time, none, so you have to act on pure chaos with no second to plan or think. AND THATS THE EASIEST DIFFICULTY. save your money and buy a different dungeon management game.
Simple but addictive. There are some quirks to get used to such as the workers not always finding their way to food which means you need a bit of micromanaging to carry them over to the right spot, but after the initial annoyance I found that this actually motivated me to build better organized dungeons. Oh and also I occasionally had some screen shake that seemed to linger a bit long, so I wasn't sure if that was an intended thing or if it was lagging or what. It looks like there are just two minions at first, but you unlock more as you explore and find scrolls which unlock all sorts of things. I kept wanting to hit space to pause which does nothing at the moment, but I would quite like it if that was implemented in the future. As the dungeon grows it starts becoming hard to keep track of everything going on, so a pause time function would be useful. Would be nice to also have some indication of off screen hungry workers. Maybe something that jumps you to their location like Warcraft did with peons.
Good small game, a lil rushed for me, but is cool!
very fun tribute to DK
A satisfying little Dungeon Keeping game. It fits the aesthetic it's going for very nicely, and while it's not overly complex, it accomplishes the style and the goal of plain, simple fun very nicely. I'd argue that this game pulls off one of the best retro aesthetics I've seen - the most recent genuinely old, semi-clunky game I played was Warcraft 1, and this game nails the quirks from that era (sudden exits, cartridge/disc-like features and resets, etc.) Honestly, if you showed me this game and told me it came out in 1995, I'd believe you - I can't say that about most "retro-styled" indie games. Now, it's not without it's issues - chief among them being performance. If you let the game run too long, or have too many minions, it'll lag like there's no tomorrow. But, if you manage to keep the run short and sweet, there shouldn't be too many issues. The gameplay loop isn't for everyone, and it can be challenging or frustrating at times, but I enjoyed it. A fun game to play in a short burst, to be sure. Excellent work from the developer, definitely interested to see what he makes next!
