TLDR; Its fun, but they didn't make the characters all fun to play, half of them are to niche and the others too basic. The game doesn't hold your hand, but it also explains basically NOTHING. So get ready to read alot and google answers. I donated to the Kickstarter for this game a while back, I've played over and over again trying all the characters and trying to unlock what i can, but honestly, this game was a waste of money. The RNG doesnt help you in the slightest, you have to find a good seed, write it down and learn it it order to get anywhere. There is no training of any kind, you're just thrown in with no glossary on the words or their function you have to methodically study this game to enjoy it. The worst part is that the characters all feel WILDLY uneven, unless your playing the Reva, Saffron, or Hazel, you better strap in for a bad time, Violette and Terra being to biggest letdowns, Both of their main attacks are so underthought you HAVE to rely on your spells to succeed and the RNG being the impossible thing that it is theres no hope, of getting the right cards.

The name of this game is slightly deceptive as the name One Step From Eden implies your one step away from Eden but in reality you are many steps away from eden now i know this may be confusing but don't worry the game is still playable even if you aren't One Step From Eden

If you're like me, you know (or rather knew) this game by name and you know Saffron's design and that's about as far as it goes. Don't cheat yourself the experience. Just buy the game. You already know it has a banger soundtrack by steelplus. The UI is amazing. Once you get a grip on the gameplay there's no going back.
