About
Remember when games had nothing extra? No daily rewards, no donations, no mythical rarity blocks. Just a 10x20 grid and seven types of pieces falling at an increasingly faster rate.
"Oh no, not another L" is a fair puzzle game with an old design.
What's inside:
Classic game mechanics without any twists. Rotate, slide, hard drop—everything you love.
Minimalist graphics in the spirit of the early 90s. No post-effects, gradients, or volumetric shadows.
Large-scale leaderboard. Only one number matters—your best score. You play, make a mistake, start over, and try to write a new line.
A little about the music:
The background music is looped so well that it doesn't get annoying even after two hours of play. Calm, slightly melancholic chillwave without any abrupt transitions.
Why "Oh no, not another L"?
Because the L-shape always comes at the most inopportune moment. You lick a smooth glass—bam, that crooked squiggle again. And you either find a place for it, or you lose. No choice.

A classic Tetris clone with endless gameplay and a local leaderboard. Stack the pieces into lines for as long as possible to beat your own record. You can change the controls from keyboard to mouse in the settings.
Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.

Warning: Asset Flip! OH NO, NOT ANOTHER L is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
This time, Atomic Fabrik/Gamesforgames made yet another fake developer account, did some AI slop marketing material, stole someone's GameMaker Studio Tetris tutorial, and paid for some fake reviews from the Russian review farm uncovered by Sentinels of the Store. That's the anatomy of a scam, a direct attempt from a shady developer to scam YOU into paying YOUR money for someone else's Tetris game tutorial. Disgusting, isn't it? And it's part of an ongoing series of scams from this "developer". LDev have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players, and the worst part is these weren't genuine players, these were the Russian fake review accounts that the developer paid to make the fake reviews. Since the fake reviews are all done, now the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Warning: Review Manipulation! This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian, broken English or ChatGPT AI slop, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR § 465.4, 15 U.S.C. § 45), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.
This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. Let's talk about price and what this asset flip is actually worth. Is this significantly better than any of the 140,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! OH NO, NOT ANOTHER L has the pathetically optimistic price of around $7 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. The quality problems and defects with this game makes the asking price totally unrealistic. It's impossible to recommend this to gamers here on Steam, especially considering the unethical stuff going on. Because this is just a fake game/cash grab scam, and due to the sheer unethical nature of the developer, you should avoid this completely. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from GamesforGames.
Ah sh*t, here we L again!
Клон классического тетриса с бесконечным геймплеем и локальной таблицей результатов. Складываем фигуры в линии как можно дольше, чтобы побить свой собственный рекорд. В настройках можно поменять управление с клавиатуры на мышь.
Ordinary simple Tetris, for some reason without achievements
Простенький стандартный тетрис, особо даже и сказать нечего... Поэтому ставлю лайк.
It was relaxing. I love Tetris. There is no feeling more exciting than waiting for the 4-block stick. And there's no better feeling than burning 4 lines at once. Definitely give this game a try. A wonderful example of a classic that will always bring joy. OH NO, NOT ANOTHER L is a puzzle game that immediately embraces a sense of self-awareness through its title alone. Developed and published by LDev, the game presents itself as a straightforward falling-block puzzle experience that intentionally strips away many of the modern features commonly found in contemporary releases. Rather than building an elaborate progression system or wrapping the gameplay inside a complex narrative, it focuses entirely on the timeless appeal of arranging pieces, surviving for as long as possible, and continually improving your personal best score. This simplicity is not a limitation but a deliberate design choice that defines the entire experience. The central gameplay loop revolves around managing falling shapes and making efficient decisions under increasing pressure. Every move matters because a poorly placed piece can create problems that become difficult to fix later. The challenge comes from maintaining order while adapting to an unpredictable stream of incoming blocks. The mechanics are easy to understand within minutes, making the game approachable for newcomers, yet the pursuit of mastery provides enough depth to keep experienced puzzle fans engaged. Like many classic arcade-style titles, success depends less on luck and more on developing pattern recognition, quick thinking, and strategic placement skills. One of the game's most interesting qualities is its refusal to rely on external rewards. There are no lengthy unlock systems, character upgrades, skill trees, or story chapters pushing the player forward. Instead, the only meaningful progression comes from personal improvement. Each session becomes a direct challenge to outperform previous attempts, creating a satisfying cycle of learning and refinement. This old-school philosophy gives the game a purity that many modern puzzle games often lose when they become overloaded with additional systems. Visually, OH NO, NOT ANOTHER L adopts a bright and colorful presentation that prioritizes readability. The clean art style helps players quickly identify pieces and maintain awareness of the playfield during intense moments. The presentation may not be technologically ambitious, but it serves the gameplay effectively. The colorful aesthetic creates a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring that the puzzle mechanics remain the primary focus. The visual clarity is especially important in a game where split-second decisions can determine whether a run continues or comes to an abrupt end. The game's greatest strength lies in how accessible it feels. There is virtually no barrier to entry, and players can begin enjoying the core mechanics immediately. At the same time, reaching high scores requires genuine dedication and skill development. This balance between accessibility and challenge is one of the reasons classic puzzle games remain popular decades after their introduction. OH NO, NOT ANOTHER L understands that a strong gameplay foundation can be more valuable than an abundance of extra features. However, the same minimalistic approach that defines the game's identity may also limit its audience. Players looking for narrative-driven content, extensive customization, multiple game modes, or long-term progression systems may find the experience somewhat narrow. The game relies heavily on the appeal of score chasing and repeated play sessions. If a player enjoys perfecting strategies and improving performance over time, the game offers plenty of motivation. Those who prefer constant new content or evolving mechanics may find themselves wanting more variety after extended play. What ultimately makes OH NO, NOT ANOTHER L stand out is its confidence in its own concept. It does not attempt to disguise what it is or promise features beyond its scope. Instead, it delivers a focused puzzle experience that celebrates the enduring appeal of simple mechanics executed well. The game captures the spirit of arcade gaming, where every session is an opportunity to learn, improve, and chase a better result than before. That straightforward approach gives it a certain charm that puzzle enthusiasts are likely to appreciate. For players who enjoy classic score-based puzzle games and value gameplay over spectacle, OH NO, NOT ANOTHER L provides a satisfying and honest experience. It may not revolutionize the genre, but it successfully delivers exactly what it sets out to achieve: a challenging, replayable, and skill-driven puzzle game that rewards persistence and concentration.
