The story takes place in Blockbusteria, a kingdom of hardworking and happy people who enjoy sharing with others. They were even honored by the gods, who presented them with four valuable stones. Unfortunately, prosperity corrupted the people, allowing wicked creatures to exploit them in mines. It is now up to you to recover the magic stones and preserve your kingdom. This is accomplished simply by moving and pushing blocks. Although you have a sword and a shield, colliding with an enemy kills you quickly and forces you to restart the stage. There is no undo option, so one wrong step is costly. This is also related to blocks, which are your primary tool for both killing enemies and solving puzzles. Enemies typically move throughout the stage or stand motionless. Most do not chase you, but their quickness may cause them to cross your path. Stationary enemies are extremely dangerous since they will shoot or dash at you if you reach their line of sight. A unique enemy is a troll, which can frequently assist you in solving problems; if you push a block adjacent to a troll, it will punch it in the other way. Pushing a block causes it to slide in a straight line until it hits something. You can then push it as many times as you want, until the block has nowhere to go when pressed. This will make it break. Sometimes this is the only way to solve the puzzle, but you need to be careful since you may need a specific block to push it into a hole and create a passage. There are around 50 stages. The goal in each is to collect all three diamonds. The map is primarily linear, although there are a few bonus levels and battle puzzles in which you must defeat all enemies. Stages can’t be repeated because there are no collectibles.

With its charming pixealated graphics and catchy chiptune soundtrack, this captivating title offers a retro-inspired experience that is sure to delight both veteran gamers and newcomers alike. The core gameplay revolves around moving your character through each level, jumping over hazards, and solving puzzles to reach the end goal. As a platformer, precision and timing are key elements of Super Blockbuster's gameplay. Players must navigate the game's pixel-perfect environments by running, jumping, and climbing, all while avoiding deadly traps and enemies that aim to halt their progress. The game's physics play a significant role in overcoming these challenges, requiring players to master the controls and adapt to the unique mechanics of each stage. The puzzle aspect of Super Blockbuster comes into play through the various obstacles and environmental challenges that players must overcome. These brain-teasers may include pushing blocks to create new paths, manipulating switches to alter the level layout, or utilizing special abilities to bypass seemingly impassable barriers. Players must think critically and plan their actions carefully to progress through each stage efficiently. In addition to the standard levels, Super Blockbuster features boss stages that pit players against unique enemy types. These encounters require a combination of quick reflexes, precise movements, and problem-solving skills to identify and exploit each boss's weaknesses. As players advance through the game, they'll also encounter bonus stages that offer a break from the main campaign. These levels often introduce new mechanics or challenges, adding further depth and variety to the overall gameplay experience. The game's 56 stages are divided into various categories, including 1 tutorial stage to help players grasp the core mechanics, 41 regular stages that ramp up in difficulty, 3 boss stages featuring unique enemy types to conquer, 10 bonus stages that provide a refreshing change of pace, and 1 final stage to put your skills to the ultimate test. As you progress through these diverse levels, you'll encounter an array of inventive puzzles and obstacles that will keep you on your toes. Featuring support for both keyboard and game controllers, Super Blockbuster ensures a flexible and customizable gaming experience. With an easy to moderate difficulty level, the game strikes a perfect balance between accessibility and challenge, making it suitable for both casual players and puzzle lovers. Disclaimer: I provided some story art and writing for this game, but don't consider myself a developer on the game. It's like Adventures of Lolo on steroids.
This is a very interesting take on sokoban because there are lots of enemies that move and react in real time! It's not just a puzzle, there's action sequences in here too
Easy recommendation. I like that it uses block puzzles for combat and rewards patience to learn enemy patterns and time to crush them or bypass the indestructible ones.
Disclaimer: My brother provided some story art and writing for this game, but he doesn't consider himself a developer on the game. I only just started playing, but so far the game has been solid fun: music is good, puzzles are great and i feel entertained playing the game. Good work!
Fun game, but ahhh the spiders!!!!!
