Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The story telling and dialog is fantastic, but the combat is suicidal. If you enjoy the Styx series, this is the start of it all and worth the play. I just wish they would remaster it with modern combat. It would be a masterpiece.

A fantastic game in every sense of the word. I loved every part of it especially Styx. I absolutely love him!!!! He made me laugh the whole time. I’m so glad he has his own games where he’s the main character and I can’t wait to play them! The game sadly is a bit too linear, unfortunately. It’s mostly a cycle of moving forward, fighting a bunch of enemies and reaching your destination. Rinse and repeat 🥲 Still, it’s an excellent game overall, and the soundtrack is amazing. Of course it is!!! It’s composed by Olivier Deriviere, one of my favorite composers of all time! As for Arkail, he was frustrating and honestly got on my nerves lmao. He’s the stereotypical angry orc protagonist, and I just didn’t like him. To be honest I kind of wish he had died at the end as a sacrifice or something 😙 Anyway, I’m really devastated and heartbroken about what happened to Spiders. I’ll always love this studio for creating so many of my favorite games 💔
Absolute Cinema. No sequel is a crime
its very funny and the writing is top tier
Of Orcs and Men is a low quality linear RPG that is ambitious yet very flawed. Inverting the typical dark fantasy tropes on their head, the best compliment I can give this game is that it has you play as an Orc and a Goblin fighting against an evil human empire that's subjugating its people rather than the other way around. Of Orcs and Men alternates between very rudimentary, yet more enjoyable than the primary combat, stealth sections where Styx assassinates and sneaks around, and a real time strategy weapon-wheel-action-queuing-combat-system perhaps akin to something like Final Fantasy XII. The characters, Arkail and Styx, are very solidly developed and voice acted, with both, especially Styx being likable and crudely charming by the end of the game. The majority of the other voice actors are rough however, and most of their characters weakly written. The story and writing is all right, as well as the music which I think is overrated by this game's fans. There is a laundry list of issues I had with this game though, so let's list it out: - Combat was needlessly frustrating because I wasn't able to use the revive power as soon as one of my dudes went down because of...? (who the ♥♥♥♥ knows) - this resulted in my other character dying - while I paused and unpaused the game waiting for it to become available (there was no indication/mention of a cooldown or why that was) - needlessly, instead of allowing me to keep the fight going and brute-force an impossible section. Combat also sucked because hits from weapons that didn't touch my character registered and did damage (I realize that's due to the fact that this is an action RPG game but it's a very poorly made one and should've just been an action game instead {mechanically and gameplay-wise at least} so I'm glad they honed in on the stealth in the later games. - There was missing audio and awkward pauses; rough edgy writing in many spots; very limited animations that were repeated to the point of exhaustion (like Styx pointing down); the fact that there is fake RPG decision making in dialogue (it's typically linear and just leads back to the same endpoint or has little to no impact on the game if there is a real choice); the dialogue options are like Fallout 4 in that you have no idea what you're going to say half the time; there are innumerable invisible walls; and finally characters don't react to seeing dead bodies. {I'm sure I missed a few things, but that should give you an idea}. - This final issue is on me for not knowing that you couldn't change the difficulty once you begin a playthrough, because I wanted to play on hard but once I reached the end of a gladiator section at the beginning of chapter 2 I found it essentially impossible to beat the enemies. This is despite having done all of the side content up to this point. Maybe I suck, or I hadn't properly placed my skill and attribute points into the right places, but I was being murdered so ruthlessly, that after trying for an hour or two I gave in and decided to increase my health and damage levels to beat the game on easy and bypass the atrocious combat - this is the first game that has driven me to install and use cheat engine by the way, and I've played a number of challenging games, the difference here is I just think it's poor design. Someone on reddit put it best: it's an interesting concept on paper, but the combat falls short because it tries to copy something like Kotor but with only a party of 2 and a far more limited skill set and leveling potential. In short, Of Orcs and Men's general rough edges and lack of polish that created a needlessly frustrating and unfun experience make this game difficult to recommend unless you want to experience the story, because you're a fan of Styx or like to play series in release order when you can, like me; in that case though I would recommend playing on the easiest difficulty or watching a playthrough because the combat is pointlessly tedious and not rewarding for the extra time spent.
I really like this game. It's not perfect, it's essentially a B-category game, but it's now can considered an A-category because the quality of games is declining these days. The music is good, the art is good, the dialogue is funny, the animations are a bit rough, but that's just nitpicking. After 14 years, there's still no sequel. It's a shame they haven't made one yet (only some spin-offs), and it's a shame there aren't any games like it anymore.
