About
Abe's peaceful retirement was shattered when visited by a vision from the Mudokon Spirit Guides. Abe™ learned the Magog Cartel was mining Necrum, the sacred Mudokon city of the dead, to collect bones to make super-addictive SoulStorm Brew.
After freeing the Mudokon spirits imprisoned in the Mudanchee and Mudomo Vaults, Abe gained scary powers from the Spirit Guides, including the ability to heal his Mudokon friends of Soul-Storm addiction, and the power to turn invisible. Infiltrating the transportation hub of FeeCo Depot, and using explosive farts to survive adventures at the Slig Barracks and Bonewerks, Abe broke into SoulStorm Brewery.
There Abe learned the truth behind the secret ingredient of SoulStorm Brew . . . just before blasting the place to atoms with the combined power of the sobered-up Mudokon he'd rescued. Then Abe joined his brew-addled pals at Alf's Rehab & Tea to take the cure - the journey of a lifetime starts with one step. Or is it twelve?

As with Oddysee, this game is a treat. It is well known that it had a rushed 9 development cycle, but that makes it more impressive. What you may not know is, despite the small time allocation, they still updated things. Watch the Security Eye animations in both games. They still found time to alter it. I absolutely recommend this game. It's story is great, its visuals are fantistic and stand above the remake's. Voice work is fantastic. Though, I never knew why Abe sounded like he had a cold during this outing. (Must've got it in that trek from Monsaic to Necrum). As with its predeccesor, the modding community is huge. There are mods out there that take days to complete. Some are downright cruel, while others are works of art. Inspiration is not only enjoyed, but supported by OWI, and I think that, on its own makes this something special. Call me an old sap, but I can't actually think of anything to criticize, given the rushed dev cycle. Sure, there are changes. The "enemy in next screen" piano is gone, though is still in the game files. All o Ya is a welcome addition. I think everyone's said that by now. If you REALLY want a nitpick, I would say that the Necrum Vault trials (Mudomo and Mudanchee) are filler. Beautiful, well designed filler. Abe should have the Weirdos' trust by now, but I guess those guys are stingy. But, it is so well made up for. New additions, gorgeous backdrops and level designs make those levels breeze by. Even moreso once you've slogged through the GBA version. In conclusion, (and to stop me writing a novel) I would say, even if you haven't played Oddysee, you should play this. Yes, it comes in the Oddworld Classic pack, but if you want to get a feel for Abe's controls, this one instructs you a bit better. Yes, you may lose some context, but they actually have a dedicated recap just before you start the game. Before long, you'll know all the tricks, and be a pro in no time...says me who's been playing it for 20 odd years.

this game is very VERY OLD yet SO FUN was my child hood game so this game is so fun and nostalgic very very good
