I don't recommend this game. Not for everybody. Only because I believe this game is meant for those familiar with Asian culture and folklore. Subtitles don't do the game justice because so much is lost in translation. There were even parts that didn't translate at all. Chinese dialogue with Chinese subtitles. Without proper translation you can't follow the story. Nothing makes sense. Please don't take that as disrespect towards anybody. I'm just saying that needs more tuning from that perspective. If it were teaching me as I played then I'd be cool with it. On to the gameplay... It's slow paced. The atmosphere isn't scary or spooky and the jumpscares are meh. This game stutters bad. I was dropping 50+ frames every couple seconds. I had to drop down to medium resolution and turn the mouse rotation speed way down. I even checked to see if my drivers were up to date, same issue. I didn't play long mainly because of this.

Comment
When the protagonist returns to the village where he lived as a child, everything changes. The village was shrouded in darkness, and monsters ambush everywhere. The protagonist receives a phone call and learns that his sister is being held in the village's secret prison. He decides to take a risk to rescue her.

Unique monster and scene layout
Atmosphere design is well done. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2939242314 Special monster design. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2939725178 Screenshots sharing : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2939242393 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2939797591

Advantage :

Great soundtrack
Special Boss battle ( Use bone flute to fight )
Easy puzzles

Disadvantage :

The route of monster walking is fixed. A real shame as i found this game really slow and boring. I had to tweak alot of settings to get it to run whilst streaming with no lag. The game started off very slow, no real jump scares or horror elements. The giant crow man was just annoying and not scary at all. I got bored quick, and so did my viewers. A shame as i normally like these type of games
While the graphics looks good enough, there are too many parts that suffer from lack of polish. Big respect to the developers for bringing the exclusively Chinese game to the English gamers, but the lack of a proofreader's touch on the script is obvious. This is immediately apparent in the "setting options," which contain a number of settings with odd names like "the late quality" and "stadia." Although not awful, there are a few clunky and poor sentences in the story. After a while, I stopped reading them since all they offered was confusion. There are even sections that are entirely untranslated, including the epilogue. The primary gameplay entails a linear exploration and enemy evasion. You won't have to worry about missing anything because points of interest are marked as you approach them. Most of them have no use and, when picked up for closer examination, trigger a brief comment from your character. You'll be thrilled if you can even inspect one thing, despite the fact that the locations are full of little details. The hint is almost always located nearby, so the occasional puzzles are not challenging. For instance, you don't even need to walk when a lock and the voice recording that contains the proper code are so close to one another. Since horror games always involve a lot of darkness, your main tool of seeing where you’re actually going is the lighter. It runs on fuel so you’re forced to keep an eye on the valuable resource. Playthrough is odd and not without issues. When you approach something and you receive a message advising you that a "skull bowl of the youth" is necessary, it takes you out of the game since the character you control immediately knows what he needs to move on. Another aspect that had me scratching my head was the gathering of clues and bits of the story. It sounds totally normal to need to take a photo of them with a camera that also records a few lines in your notebook, but it seems strange to need to take a photo of another photo or notes that you could have simply written down. Inspection of these clues makes you waste time, which was another reason why I stopped caring about the story. You must read through the complete list of clues each time you want to examine a new one. You can't simply flip to the new page in your notepad. The only unique mechanic is the flute, which sadly isn’t used very often. When you spot something with a bunch of signs on it, you need to play them in order by choosing among five signs. But even here the game manages to mess up. Signs and keys you need to press show up as soon as you start playing, but then they are inexplicably removed after a few seconds. Avoiding enemies is silly. Even when they see you walk into a closet, they stop paying attention to you since you are practically invisible to them. You need to get real close to even get noticed. Running from monsters is both futile because you die after one or two hits and easy because you can outrun them. Memory leaks and a lack of optimization ruin the experience. When the game briefly freezes while you are moving, you may find yourself turning in an unexpected direction, usually straight up. When attempting to solve puzzles, this freeze may lead to faults and glitches. I experienced a piece in a puzzle completely vanish until I reloaded from the last checkpoint. Fortunately, autosaving does a great job of preventing unexpected events by creating slots throughout the entire game. This way you can go back to a specific checkpoint in case you want to explore some more.
