It's okay short game. You should play it with friend!
I have always loved Oceanhorn Chronos Dungeon, even in Apple Arcade the first time it came out. and now that it came back in very happy.
Really really good. Great co-op game where you can control 2 players and your friend can as well. It has secrets, character progression, an interesting story where you keep jumping ahead in time and seeing things change. It's just great co-op combat, think Children of Morta or Gauntlet style games. They also work in heat and cold in interesting ways, with seasons changing and the extreme cold of winter or extreme heat of summer can impact your characters, unless you are using with with an immunity to it, which also makes them immune to fire or ice. Overall a steal for the price
I like the pixel design, the easy control and the music.
good game like the other 2 and music sounds so much like my fav composer Hans Zimmer soundtrack Spanglish
x-- 7/10 --x A good roguelike game in the Oceanhorn franchise.
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, developed by Cornfox & Brothers Ltd. and published by FDG Entertainment, is a deliberate and playful departure from the traditional action-adventure structure that defined earlier entries in the Oceanhorn series. Rather than offering a sprawling overworld and story-driven exploration, this title reframes the universe into a compact, arcade-inspired dungeon crawler that emphasizes replayability, cooperation, and quick bursts of action. Set long after the events of Oceanhorn 2, the game uses its lore as a backdrop rather than a driving force, making it approachable for newcomers while still offering familiar thematic touches for long-time fans. The premise centers on the legendary Chronos Dungeon, a mysterious structure said to house the Paradigm Hourglass, an artifact capable of reshaping history. Instead of following a single hero, the game introduces four distinct adventurers, each representing a different class with their own strengths and weaknesses. This shift in focus immediately signals the game’s priorities: teamwork, adaptability, and moment-to-moment gameplay over narrative complexity. The story unfolds lightly through brief dialogue and contextual hints, serving more as motivation than emotional anchor, which suits the game’s arcade roots. At its core, Chronos Dungeon is built around procedurally generated dungeon runs. Each descent into the dungeon presents new floor layouts, enemy placements, and modifiers that subtly alter how encounters play out. This randomness keeps the experience fresh, encouraging players to adapt their tactics rather than memorize fixed solutions. Combat is fast and accessible, relying on simple controls, clear enemy patterns, and responsive movement. While the mechanics are easy to grasp, the increasing density of enemies and hazards as you progress deeper ensures that careless play is quickly punished, especially in solo runs. One of the game’s defining strengths lies in its character variety. The four playable heroes each fulfill a distinct role, ranging from close-combat specialists to ranged attackers and magic users. In single-player mode, the ability to swap characters on the fly adds a strategic layer, allowing players to respond to different threats dynamically. Local co-op elevates this design further, transforming the dungeon into a shared space where coordination and role awareness become essential. Chaotic moments naturally emerge as players scramble through enemy-filled rooms, revive fallen allies, and adapt to unexpected modifiers, making cooperative sessions one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game. Visually, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon embraces a colorful, stylized aesthetic reminiscent of classic 16-bit games, filtered through a modern lens. Character sprites are expressive, environments are cleanly designed, and enemy silhouettes are easy to read during fast-paced encounters. This clarity is crucial for a game that often fills the screen with movement and effects. The soundtrack complements the visuals with energetic, nostalgic melodies that reinforce the arcade feel without becoming repetitive, helping maintain momentum during extended play sessions. Despite its charm, the game’s streamlined design can also be its limitation. Over time, the procedural structure may begin to feel familiar, as room types and enemy behaviors repeat even when layouts change. Progression systems are intentionally light, focusing more on skill and adaptability than long-term character builds or deep customization. Additionally, the lack of online multiplayer limits the accessibility of cooperative play, which feels like a missed opportunity given how naturally the game supports group dynamics. Ultimately, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon succeeds as a focused, replayable dungeon crawler that prioritizes fun, accessibility, and cooperative chaos over narrative depth or mechanical complexity. It may not satisfy players looking for a traditional Oceanhorn adventure or a deeply layered action RPG, but it excels as a pick-up-and-play experience that rewards experimentation and teamwork. For those who enjoy arcade-style dungeon runs, couch co-op sessions, and a nostalgic presentation wrapped in a familiar fantasy universe, it offers a charming and engaging spin-off that stands confidently on its own terms. Очень завораживающий Dungeon Crawler. Красивая ретро стилистика. Приятное музыкальное сопровождение, навевает культовые аниме XX века в жанре фэнтези.
