About
As the once-great Roman Empire falls into decadence and decay, you lead a small band of citizens in search of new lands hoping to build Nova Roma – a bastion for all that was once good in the Empire. Starting from a humble village, you must appease the gods with grand temples, sate your citizens’ many needs, and build a society that will be the envy of the world for millennia to come.

A wise city planner knows how to harness the world around them. Erect massive dams and aqueducts to control the flow of water as you reshape the land into artificial watersheds and reservoirs, paying close attention to how your actions impact soil fertility, or how a particularly rainy season might flood your city. Seek distant resource deposits and build infrastructure to transport raw materials and processed goods across massive stretches of untamed territory. Will you strike a delicate balance between the growing urban sprawl of your city and the risks of rapid expansion? Or will your hubris risk the wrath of the gods and nature itself?

Contend with a growing list of needs and desires as more people flock to your city – from pottery and wine to bread and games, it is your responsibility to keep the people happy and safe. Watch them grow into artisans, gladiators and thespians, and guide them through life as they spend their days toiling, and their nights enjoying the fruits of their labor.

As you consider matters of taxation and technological advancement, do not forget the powers that stand above you - build grand temples to the gods, avoiding their wrath and seeking their blessings to bolster your capabilities and ensure the continued prosperity of Nova Roma.
Featuring intricate water and weather simulations and the ever-present threat of divine intervention, Nova Roma explores the cultural, and social trials of the era. Take charge of your small Roman town and grow it into a bustling metropolis that will stand the test of time!

Fresh concept and a beautiful setting. However, the logistics system is still far too tedious and click-heavy. Why not turn it into a centralized logistics hub? All cargo could be stored at the central depot from the start and automatically dispatched whenever a plant needs supplies. That would make the system much simpler and smoother to manage. I can't play it anymore coz of the tedious logistic system after 2000 people.
Amazing game very difficult recommend watching multiple tutorials about it if you are familiar with Similar games such as kingdoms and castles
Also klare Empfehlung!
Super fun game, highly recommended if you like city building strategies!! Since the game is still in the development phase, I would like to mention a few minor points. - I have had a bug in the game twice where, when I want to choose a god for a temple, I suddenly can't click on anything anymore. Fortunately, if I restart the entire game, it is gone. However, I did lose my progress in the game at the time. - I like that you need to build toilets to keep your city clean. But sometimes it feels a bit random. + it is sad that beacuse of this you cant really build like smaller farmer communitys outside of the city beacuse at some point you can't get any more water from the aquaducts... It would be nice if there were some other feature that cleans the poop. - It is difficult that your troops do not automatically go after the enemy, especially because you cannot fully zoom out when you have a large island. (Or at least I didn't see the button to do this.) - I was wondering if placing the markets on the tiles does anything? And is it even necessary to set up all those different market stalls?
Really lovely game. Been enjoying the early access immensely and I have areas of critique that with a couple small UX changes can make the micromanagement a little less fiddly especially in larger cities as you grow: - Waterflow management: - Simulation when dam building: - It's already great we get a little simulation when building dams. Need the same simulation extended to water towers / aqueducts and would love if we could simulate droughts / floods to proactively design our water management rather than reactively tweaking it. - Waterflow Logistics: - Aqueducts and bathhouses already show waterflow intake / outflow. Please show this for dams too - Let us disable water towers or aqueduct segments like we can spillways or other construction buildings. Sometimes you need to do this to let a reservoir build up in capacity. - Terrain Height filter: Please allow an overlay to keep this on with the cursor. Its very frustrating going back and forth between building aqueducts / dams / buildings / water towers when the height keeps dissapearing. - Logistics: Please give us a way to see where all of a specific good is in the city. Like sometimes I have 100 olives in the city and have to click around multiple storage locations to find where and its impossible to conveniently see the flow of goods / their distribution - Military management: - Let us bulk select all towers to enable them / disable them. Its very costly right now to staff towers but outside of invasions they are a waste of money. - More frequent trading: - In early game trading is highly valuable but by late game the trade ships come way too infrequently to make any impact on the economy. Buying / Selling needs to scale through the mid-late game otherwise as a feature its just a "oh cool another boat showed up at just 1 of my 8 ports let me sell it 200 wheat bc thats where it decided to go" Again all these are critiques and I'm really loving this game and looking forward to seeing it develop further to a full release

Conclusion
une version 2.0 de kingdom and castle, mais 30€ me semble beaucoup trop chers pour le contenu actuellement présent dans le jeu
I play a lot of this type of game, and this is one of the good ones! I've played for about 12 hours and I haven't even really scratched the surface of what's possible. I'm having a lot of fun. Nice work, you guys.
Nova Roma is one of the best city building games around. It's exactly the game I wanted to play after watching my brother play Black & White back in the day with 100's of virtual humans dependant and impacted by my actions. I can't wait to see where this game goes from here. The gods mechanic is super refreshing. Looking forward to seeing more in depth combat and more development options. Only downside to this game is it can be easy to paint yourself into a corner if you pick the wrong upgrades on the tree and that the invasions can be overwhelming with rather boring combat mechanics. I get this isn't a mil-sim but it would be fun to have classes of warriors and more defences than just watch towers. With the unique water physics it would be fun to have something that washes invaders out or combat ships so you can meet the invaders on their approach.
