At first this game seems genuienly fun, papers please style game, except you are a bouncer, and i liked this game for the first few hours (i started playing it becuase of a Call Me Kevin video) but later on, it feels too repetetive, with no new things. i just found myself skipping days to progress the story. The story is ok-ish, tale of how the UK doesn't want immigrants or actually any outsiders, and i did enjoy kicking out french people out of daves bar, that was a very funny part. the gameplay was decent, at first when they were introducing new objectives and functions, it felt fresh, but after chapter 2, there was nothing new really, it was just clicking W to let them in (which like 90% of the time they were allowed to go in), but there are some problems: - It falsely punished you for letting someone in, even if they were allowed entry - the druggies barely appeared, so if you wanted to earn money selling drugs, you had to get lucky - the guest list (and double line). was stupid. The guests were ALWAYS on the list (maybe like 2-3 in my entire playthrough weren't, but that's less than 1%) so it was pointless to look for them on the list - Same thing with VIPs, they appear, and ALWAYS give the right password (i only had 2 occassions where someone gave the wrong password, TWO, and i remember them both) - Contraband was another thing, people often had knifes and other weapons, but rarely had the resistance symbol
(and because of that i barely managed to do the missions for the resistance to let them in)
The side missions weren't obvious, i mean of course they aren't meant to be easy, but some were just impossible to figure out without guides (like for example, what to do with the CDs and the spy kit) overall, pretty solid game idea, execution, not so much, it's fun for a few hours, but if you're going for achievements, then i recommend not doing a blind playthrough and just doing them as soon as possible, because going back to do them (the 2 achievements related to CDs specifically) is a chore 4/10

This game had real potential. But since the little details are the entire core of the game, they have to be perfect or the game becomes a chore. In the beginning stages of the game, we are told to focus on dates and look for fake holograms and flags. Unfortunately, the game can't even stick to its own rule book. I'm in the second week and just got in trouble for an ID picture not matching the person. Nobody in the game ever mentioned that before. But even that might be OK if we could actually see what the people look like. Unlike Papers Please that lets you get close enough to actually see the people, the camera in this game is stuck on a permanent wide shot. Not only are the "customers" very far away, their faces and bodies are pixelated! And since the game is played outside at night, the lighting is often too dim to even tell what color they're supposed to be. It's ridiculous for the game to make appearance an issue and then make it nearly impossible to know whether it's the right person or not. For that reason alone, it's a total thumbs down.
This is probably one of the worst, if not the worst, games I've played recently. Not long after starting it, I had already had enough, and I still can't believe I made it to the end. It was exhausting and boring, and I basically clicked through it as fast as I could. The story is simple: Europeans are being discriminated against. You're a bouncer, and your job is to deny entry to people who don't meet certain requirements. Whatever. The execution is terrible. It's repetitive, requires very little thinking or investigative skill (I put it to the test—I simply accepted everyone one by one and still ended up with an S rank), and all of the mechanics are introduced very quickly, which is another reason the game becomes so boring. There's nothing to look forward to. The upgrades are pointless (except maybe the clicker—it was actually faster to press W than click it with the mouse), but even that wasn't game-changing. The guest list upgrade sorted names alphabetically, but it was annoying because it still displayed first names first. Why not use the last name first if the list is sorted by surnames? The rest of the upgrades could have been removed entirely, and nobody would have missed them. To top it off, I couldn't get the achievement "You Absolute Croissant" (Get Deported) because the officers came to take me away at the exact same time another character appeared. The game got stuck in a loop with both of them repeating their lines over and over. I had to restart because, even with no social credit left, they never came back. I could probably write more, but I'm not going to waste any more time thinking about this game. I've already wasted enough time playing it. Conclusion: I don't recommend it.
Single worst save game function ive seen in a game. They tried to copy papers pleases system and failed. You'll lose hours of progress because of this, not worth playing at all.
I wish I could give a mixed rating. The political dystopia post-Brexist displayed in the game really hasn’t aged well. The story plays heavily into the Brexit panic of the time. Years later, that dystopian future never happened, and much of it comes across as fearmongering in hindsight. The setting actually feels more reminiscent of 20th-century communism than anything related to post-Brexit. The political writing is very binary. Another important part is the gameplay, first the save system is broken. Even just loading a save, the game wants me to delete previous saves from other separate slots that were created through autosave. And if you’re in Chapter 2-3, you have to side-scroll across a bunch of empty space just to reach your save. It’s unnecessarily annoying. Second, the game feels like a slog the more you play. And the length does not necessarily add things to the story. The game has good parts, but the negative stood out for me.
I'm a big fan of the Paper's Please style of games, so this got recommended to me at some point, so I picked it up and I gotta say, I was just disappointed. I discovered partway through that I was just having zero fun playing the game, and I think a large part of that comes from how quickly they expect you to be checking people in, a lot of the goals seem just about unattainable unless you're just blindly accepting people, and the time between each person seems to take longer than it should. Overall it's just not very engaging, so it's getting shelved for me.
Not noice
Boring game that is a chore and not a relaxing and fun activity. The political Brexit messaging aged like milk, with the extreme fear mongering and totalitarian government portrayal. I also have graphic glitches, where parts of the incoming messages when you stand outside are croped out. My rating 3/10, not recommended.
It keeps saying "supposed to let in" when ID is expired, not worth the problems.
笑嘻了,法国人与狗不得入内,真不愧是英国游戏。
