The game has an interesting concept, I tried it out for around 20 minutes but the UI was so messed up for me it made the game largely unplayable. I've seen 0 reviews, there is no way to contact the developer or submit bug reports and I am left with no idea what to do other than to refund and hope updates happen. Over all though the game is a great little concept and I could see myself sinking quite a few hours into it if I had been able to play properly.
It’s a nice concept and really I'm enjoying this game so far in spite of the bugs and issues. It's actually inspiring me to try to decorate my own place, something that I tend to find overwhelming because I have no idea what I'm doing. That said, there are some bugs and drawbacks that need to be addressed and fixed. First is the occasional bug where some items of furniture count as 2 colors, but appear to be only 1 color, and the bugged item is usually a duplicate of 1 of the remaining 2 options. I'm guessing a coding error is pulling in the wrong image for these times. This is not a huge deal, but should be fixed. Next are the slightly more frustrating issues. The game sets certain rules for a "perfect" score (3 colors, 3 patterns, at least 3 style matches, and correct design brand), but then occasionally gives you a room where this is impossible -- either you are only given 2 patterned items in the room, or you are given items which require a minimum of 4+ colors no matter what you choose (e.g., in 1 room, all options for the chair included blue, all options for the curtains included pink, all options for the dresser included white, and all options for the bedside table included tan). Aesthetically, I have no problem with this because the result I got in these rooms was actually more to my tastes, and the client happiness scoring seems(?) very generous (mine's been sitting pretty at 'starry-eyed joy' face for a while despite not getting a perfect score for easily 6 rooms in a row). However, that leads to the next issue - scoring ambiguity. I have no idea how much I am progressing in the game, or if I'm progressing at all. I made it past Novice Designer and Decor Rookie, and then apparently to Junior Designer, but I have now been stuck at this level for ages and I have no idea how far to the next level. Although the goal for each room you design is clear, the overall scoring and how it effects the progression are not. How do you progress up the ranks? Do you need X-number of perfect scores? Is there a hidden point system that each star counts toward? In spite of these issues, it is still a fun game and I’m going to keep playing it, but it definitely needs some polish. Most importantly, we need a way to submit bug reports. NOTE: I've had to update my review for a new and frustrating issue: After making it to "Master Architect" level, I closed the game for a bit and came back to find my progress was gone. I did not start a new game, it just did not retain my progress in between plays. I don't know if this is an issue with just my game, but the bugs are starting to pile up. It it still fun, but this game is starting to feel unfinished at this point, which is not what you expect from a non-early access game.
Cozy game but kinda repetitive and confusing with the way things are scored. When you use the same pattern on all available objects, you still dont get a full 3 stars. Is "pattern" related to the design of the furniture as well? Wish the tutorial was more thorough and descriptive. We are left with many questions as we go through... How are the levels determined? How is your progress mapped? What does the 2x, 3x, etc mean when it comes to colors needed? It is confusing.. Definitely a mindless cozy game.. I found myself just clicking through choices to try to get closer to all 3 colors scored vs actually what I thought worked together.. Hope there are improvements soon!
VERY VERY VERY BORING. CON: - very limited creativity - UI is annoying -ONLY full screen mode available -very limited setting -very limited choices in your furniture -Room only has like.. maybe 2-3 layout.... -you wanna score high? You go with the GAME's preference no matter HOW BAD the room could look - 16 UDS if not on-sale... for SUCH limitation PRO: - if you have a lot of money and a lot of time, this maybe for you.
This is a great game.....in theory. However, there are some notable issues that make this less enjoyable. 1) I find myself designing rooms not based on what I think looks good, but to fit the algorithm (must have only 3 colors, 3 patterns, match the aesthetic). In addition, trying to pick the items that are 'recommended' with the little style icons limits the choices - sometimes there's only one item with the recommended style icon. 2) The tutorial doesn't automatically play when you start, so for the first 5-6 rooms I did I kept getting a bad score and didn't know why because it was never explained clearly. 3) There's no way to tell how you're progressing from level to level. I've been stuck on 'novice' for a while despite getting multiple 'starry eyed faces' in a row. It would be nice to know if there's a certain amount you're supposed to get before you get to level up. 4) Levels can get repetitive, ESPECIALLY when you're trying to fit the algorithm to win the level. 5) I would love to see some kind of 'free style' where you can pick anything you want and design the room for what you want instead of having to fit it into the scoring system. 6) Some rooms are impossible to 'win' and get just 3 colors (For example, choices for item 1 all include color 1, choices for item 2 all include color 2, etc for 4 different items) or 3 patterned items (some levels only include patterns on 2 items at most). Overall - this is a cute game that can be enjoyable if you don't care about scoring, but if all you're interested in is getting up to that top tier then it can be repetitive and has lots of bugs.
Cute graphics and interesting concepts, but currently this "thing" is neither a puzzle nor a sandbox. It's not even a game, just seems like a demo to me. Wouldn't leave a bad review if it is in EA phase, but it is not, and rather expensive. Also, the tutorial is a total disaster. DO NOT BUY
Every room feels basically the same. I love cozy games so I really wanted to enjoy this but the way this scores you makes no sense. I can't figure out how to get the max stars and the tutorial is lacking on details. For each new room, you are presented 2 decor types without anything to indicate which one will fit the client better. You just have to guess. And after a few rooms, the novelty of the game is gone. This feels like an early Early Access game. I'd love to see this expanded on but as it is now, it's more like a proof of concept or a final project for a game dev student.
Very repetitive gameplay with little to no explanation on how to get the correct options. you are left to fend for yourself and hope you can pass a "level". Very repetitive- only a few room styles-
This is a great concept and I enjoy the format, but this game does not focus on what looks good, but rather on fulfilling the algorithm. Additionally, turning off all the sound does not actually turn off the sound as it keeps playing a minute after you mute it. The designs are repetitive, and I wish they would explain more of the design styles to players to help better design for the client.
