Age of Valakas: Vietnam

It is a fun game that reminds me of something quite similar that I played once upon a time on Amiga 500. When you initially start everything is in Cyrillic alphabet. To change the language settings click on 3rd box; do not click the last one or you will quit the game.

The game crashes to desktop immediately on launch, it cannot be played. "Age of Valakas: Vietnam" was an extremely badly made 2D retro platformer shooter from unethical Russian shovelware pushers and abusers of Valve's disastrous Early Access program. They made and published this game while accepting money for another game they were selling in Early Access... absolutely acting in bad faith, with absolutely zero intention to behave ethically. There's very little I can say about the game because it does not work, and that fact is certainly sufficient for me to make the determination in my review that nobody should buy this. My observations about the game are derived wholly from gameplay videos from a time that the game did work. It is an academic point whether the dismal quality of this game was deliberate, making this a joke game/deliberate pollution of the Steam store, or a genuine attempt from an incompetent developer. However, their deliberate and wilful abuse of Valve's Early Access program convinces me that Age of Valkalas is an insincere joke game/cash grab. So if you could get this to work, it wouldn't be worth buying for that reason alone. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 7 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Unethically, the developers have left this on the Steam store in an unplayable and broken state. This is harmful to Steam and to gamers, because it takes a share of the marketing space and visibility away from other games. It's polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuine games and for genuine indie developers who put months or years into making proper games find an audience. The developer is deliberately and unethically trying to scam gamers into paying them the comically over-optimistic price of $2 USD for a game they know is broken. Don't give it to them. [b]Note:[/b] Due to the very poor quality of the game, all the comedians came out of the woodwork. The vast majority of the reviews for this game are joke reviews, such as "this game cured my cancer, saved my marriage, changed my life" etc. Because most of the reviews are as insincere/mocking the game, and if you removed the fake/joke reviews the game would have a markedly different review score, the positive review score for this game should be disregarded. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.

[h2] Пажилой апокалипсис [/h2] Игра что-то с чем-то, особенно последний уровень, пажилая амеба ели двигается, снайпер гасит стоит только высунуться, а хилок разработчик пожалел. Как дедушка Вьетнам прошел ума не приложу. Бюджет игры ящик балтики и упаковка чоколадных арешков. Однако это только положительно сказалось на качестве конечного продукта, чего стоит уровень в лимбо, который является аллюзией на сцену из фильма "[b]Интерстеллар[/b]". Без сарказма и преувеличения, создатели прыгнули выше головы, в уровень заложен огромный философский смысл, подняты самые главные и актуальные проблемы человечества. Даже затянутость этого уровня имеет под собой смысл, пажилая Узумаки проходит очищение в лимбе, для нас, игроков, прошло всего навсего минут десять, а для дедушки целая вечность. Именно поэтому ему вечно 54 года, умирая и перерождаясь он преисполняется смыслом. А самый главный смысл в этой игре, по моему скромному мнению, как бы это глупо и наивно не прозвучало, является [b]любовь[/b]. [b]Любовь[/b] к человечеству, именно [b]любовь[/b] движет дедушкой. Именно [b]любовь[/b] заставляет дедушку не пасть духом в лимбо. Именно [b]любовь[/b] заставляет его умирать и рождаться снова, как птица Феникс, и принести мир на эту Землю.
