Nonogram Animals

Decent animal-themed puzzles, but no quality of life features. In terms of gameplay, this is a fairly simple nanogram game. If you've never played a game like this before, the rules are easy. The goal is to color the grid according to the rules indicated by the numbers on the top and left sides of the grid. One useful rule is that if there are two or more numbers in the same row or column, there must be at least one open space between them. Since this is a basic puzzle, some of the features that would make solving easier are not included. For instance, there’s no feature that would mark rows and columns that have zero colored squares. Also, there’s no way to see if you’re on the right path. On the one hand, you can make as many mistakes as you want. However, you will be unable to see where you made a mistake. Although this is rarely a major issue with simpler puzzles, larger puzzles may make looking for that one incorrect square rather tedious. The puzzles are separated into five packs. With the exception of the first, which includes ten puzzles, all others have twelve. New packs are unlocked if you finish the required number of puzzles, but you do not have to solve them all. This is a good quantity of stuff for a few hours, but once you've finished everything, there will be nothing else to do.

👍 I would barely recommend it. It's more of a neutral review than a full thumb up yes. Another nonogram game from the developer "Supernova Games" who previously did "Cupid Nonogram" in 2021 ("Nonogram Animals" was made on 2024). Almost all of the same positive, neutral and negative points as their previous title. They must have copy and paste the base game and simply add new picross puzzle in this one. 58 puzzles to solves. It's not a lot, but it will last a couple of hours. Negative -I would have like to have a different music soundtrack when the game open and in the selection menu than "Cupid Nonogram" since they are different game. -Not sure if this is a bug, but when the "Skip Tutorial" option is not checked, but there still is no tutorial? -Once you solve a puzzle, you can see the solved image in the selection menu. The font on top of the images can be hard to read on some of them. Not enough contrast, no contour/shadow on the font, a different color would have been more visible. Or maybe even put the number under the solved image or on mouse over instead of hiding part of the image with it. -Puzzles incompleted are saved, but there is no way on the selection menu to know which once had progress. There is no visual queue. -There is no more size displayed under the puzzle, so you dont know what you will be solving until you click on it. Not sure why they remove that compared to "Cupid Nonogram". Same points as the previous game "Cupid Nonogram" that are still present in this one: Positive +When I left, middle or right click, there is always a visible counter over the painted tiles, counted tiles or x'ed tiles. ♥ +I like that middle mouse count the tiles without adding a painted tile, an x tile or a placeholder tile. +Relaxing soundtrack ♪ +Steam achievements. +Well made, relaxing picross game with cute pastel colored UI. Neutral/suggestion ~It would have been nice to be able to choose which color theme to use when solving a puzzle: purple and yellow, purple and pink, purple and blue, etc. ~Escape button could have been mapped to open the menu or return to the selection screen. ~Having to click on pause to return to the main menu to select another puzzle could be sped up by having a menu button directly on the puzzle. Negative -I am not a fan of the grid divider changing between puzzles. Sometimes, the divider is on each 5th rows/columns, other time, it's on the fourth rows/columns. It makes it hard to count when I am used to dividers in groups of 5. -I am not a fan of one of the soundtrack scratchy effect. But the other soundtrack are fine. -There is not title or time displayed in the selection menu once a puzzle have been solved. It could be something nice to add.

Nonogram Animals is a fantastic game! The graphics are charming, and the gameplay is smooth and engaging. It's a great way to pass the time. The puzzles are challenging yet relaxing, and the animal designs are adorable. It's a perfect game to unwind after a long day.

It's fairly short but the puzzles are good, def worth the price

옛 애인이 좋아했기에 따라서 같이 했던 노노그램. 평소 웹이나 모바일로 즐겼었는데, 스팀에 있길래 내심 궁금해서 호기심에 구매해 봤다. 아마 25×25 퍼즐을 즐겼던 사람이라면 가볍게 클리어할 정도의 난이도. 후반에 괴랄한 퍼즐이 나를 당황하게 했지만, 여차저차 전부 클리어했다. 아쉬운 건 분량 정도? 좀 더 큰 사이즈의 퍼즐이 많이 나왔다면 하는 마음. 안녕? 꽤 오랜 시간이 지난 지금도 나는 노노그램을 하고 있어. 한 판 한 판 깨고 난 뒤에 지나간 세월에 눈을 감고, 두 귀를 기울여. 지금 까지 울리는 우리의 믿음, 우리의 사랑, 그 영원한 약속들의 속삭임에.

pretty solid picross game for a good price! the later puzzles were actually a bit challenging and the music was nice :]

A pretty decent nonogram game for the price. Just under 6hrs playtime to complete all puzzles. No penalties for mistakes, but also no warning when you make a mistake. You can place cells and crosses wherever you want, and remove them again easily. This makes the game both easier and harder - easier because you can undo mistakes, but harder because there's no way to know when/where you made a mistake.
