Cupid Nonogram

I am not exactly a nonogram pro lol, and I havent played many of them at all, but this game caught my eye with its cute style. I also saw people mention that the puzzles werent too difficult, which honestly felt perfect for a newbie like me (and they were right) The price is more than fair (2,39 euro) the levels feel calm and stress-free, and the art style is cute. So yeah, a lovely little game, and specially a great starter if you are curious about nonograms without wanting something too challenging.

If I could leave a neutral review, I would. The gameplay, UI, and quality-of-life features are excellent. There’s not a single aspect in those areas I would change. However, for anyone with a basic understanding of Picross, the game is almost too easy, which may leave more experienced players wanting more. The art starts off strong, with well-designed images in the early puzzles. Unfortunately, the quality declines as you progress. By the later levels, the art feels like a random slop of pixels. Without the provided descriptions, it’s hard to imagine anyone guessing what the final puzzles are supposed to represent.

Nice litte collection of Picross riddles to solve. The pictures itself are relatively simple, so this is a perfect game for beginners or advanced players that just want something easy to swallow and enjoy in short breaks. You can get through all the puzzles in a few hours, meaning even achievement hunters should take this game into consideration. What else is nice about it, is the high logical quality of the pictures on offer here, meaning there is no guessing involved, but all the levels can be done with easy validity checking and counting squares. One doesn't even need to implement 'reverse thinking' logic to solve all the included pictures. So for serious Picross players this one definitely can be only a snack, but a very tasty one as the playability, quality of life features and controls implemented here are pretty much perfect for this type of game. Fully Recommended. Even though experienced players on a budget may wait for a discount, to get a better price / playtime ratio out of it ...

it's... okay? i mean, it's a nonogram with a cute UI and it's cheap. you get introduced to some characters at the start and then you never see them again? that was weird. i would give it a neutral if i could.

Good game! The UI is very cute and the puzzles are nice. They offer a good level of difficulty.

I actually didn't enjoy it as much as i wish i did. And I really wanted to love it. I usually love nonograms/picross, but this game felt weirdly frustrating. I felt like it wasn't very logical, but i still had to push trough because I wanted all the achievements. I mean it's quite affordable so it's not a big loss if you don't enjoy it , but for me the rating is meh/10

For the price, this game is well worth it if you like nonograms. I got several hours out of it with a good variety of difficulty across the puzzles. My one complaint is that sometimes the numbers don't grey out properly so it can get confusing whether or not you've completed a number for that row. I would've also appreciated a way to zoom in or out on parts of the puzzle to see the numbers better.

It's not going to be a challenge for experienced picross/nonogram players, but it's entertaining enough. Despite what some of the other reviewers say, there is ZERO guessing required if you understand how these types of puzzles work. Everything makes logical sense (and you don't even have to do the "either/or" math that harder picross/nonogram games will sometimes require). It took me 4 hours to beat the entire game and get all of the achievements. I didn't encounter any bugs, other than the music being a little static-y (I turned it off and left on the sound effects). There were hints of a story at the beginning and end, but nothing came of it. I don't really care either way, but it's worth noting. [b]What I liked:[/b] The game is bright and cheerful, and the slider counter is helpful. Most of the images are recognizable, although less so in the later levels. Glad they included an "undo" button. [b]What I didn't like:[/b] Many of the grids are 16x16, and I personally prefer it when they're in increments of 5 (20x20, for example). Also, the game would have been much better served if the divider lines had stood out better. All in all, it's a decent picross/nonogram game, but not a challenging one.
