枪神出击 is a complete and utter lazy ripoff of Vampire Survivors (copyright "poncie" 2022). The gameplay is identical, but worse. The game assets are all flipped/stolen. The implementation is garbage because of the crap Cocos2D construction kit hack job the "developer" did here. This truly is some of the worst garbage on Steam, and yet it's still not worse than Russian asset flips. Nice try, China, but you're still not as bad.
Gameplay involves kiting endless waves of enemies around and occasionally powering up your autoattacks... just like Vampire Survivors. There's not much else to say there, but I must stress this is far, far worse.
There's no English translation for the game, but that's ok. It turns out, the language of bad games is universal.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The implementation here is of such poor quality, the developer couldn't work out how to make the game display in fullscreen, it only runs in a window.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Cocos Creator/Cocos2D game engine/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine.
The very poor quality of this game puts it squarely on-par with ancient 1990's Flash/Java games, and given it's 2023 (and this was released not so far back in 2023), gamers and the industry expect and deserve better than this kind of low effort shovelware.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The game contains stock/store assets and other packages, but the "developer" here hasn't credited the people who actually did the work for the game. While this isn't necessarily against the license for the use of those assets, claiming the work of others as your own is unethical.
枪神出击 is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.
