This is quite literally one of the worst games I've ever played. The art direction is decent, although the character faces often look oddly stretched and unnatural. Character customization is terrible. The options are extremely limited, and most of the hairstyles look bizarre, making it surprisingly difficult to create a character that looks even remotely decent. The combat is absolute trash. This game feels like "Ragebait: The Game." Nearly every enemy revolves around delayed attacks and feints, taking one of FromSoftware's most annoying combat mechanics and cranking it up to the extreme. Instead of feeling challenging, it just feels frustrating. Your character is EXTREMELY slow and the range on most stuff is so small, it is baffling. To make matters worse, many enemies are enormous compared to your character and have absurd attack range. You're constantly fighting them on tiny platforms, yet the game offers no protection against falling off during a combo or even after a dodge. The combo system is BEYOND TRASH, finishing a standard three-hit combo leaves you locked in recovery for so long that it feels like you're not even supposed to use the final hit. The delay before you can dodge or do anything else is so excessive that completing a combo often gets you punished, making the combat feel clunky rather than rewarding. More often than not, you're fighting the terrain and the game's mechanics instead of the enemies. The equipment load system makes absolutely no sense. There isn't a single complete armor set you can wear without ending up in the "Normal" weight category, which in this game already feels like fat rolling. Even running becomes slow and sluggish. It feels unnecessarily restrictive, forcing you to either go naked or level up loadout weight and WASTE your points. 400 weight for a CLOTH set, one handed sword and shield. Finding a weapon or build that actually feels good takes a long time, and even after you do, upgrading it is incredibly braindead and boring. You're forced to revisit the same areas repeatedly just to gather one or two pieces of each crafting material. At first, the gathering system seems satisfying and intuitive, but it quickly turns into a grind fest. The daily and weekly quests offered by the NPC is a nice idea on paper, but he mostly sends you back to the exact same locations to repeat the exact same objectives. After doing them a couple of times, they become incredibly boring. Worst of all, this is an offline, single-player game — yet the developers apparently have already announced a full wipe for the 1.0 release. If that’s not a blatant ploy to manufacture hype, force players to grind this trash and a cheap tactic to artificially inflate the player count and pull big numbers on the Steam charts for the 1.0 launch, I honestly don’t know what is. It makes no sense from a player-respect standpoint, and it completely undermines any long-term investment in the current state of the game. All it does is punish anyone who didn't read this retarded patch note and say their time is disposable. Steam deserves its share of the blame too. The platform still doesn’t offer a simple, straightforward way to permanently disable updates or lock a game to a specific version — even for purely offline titles. In an era of forced patches, intrusive DRM, and always-online nonsense, it’s become harder to just own and control the software you paid for. When you stack all of that together, the appeal of a clean, unlocked, full-experience alternative becomes, genuinely, harderd and harder to ignore. Not out of spite, but out of sheer practicality. I’m done supporting this kind of treatment. Never again. -- the best weapon is actually double daggers with voltaic -- Very clunky combat, terrible itemization with super heavy loadouts, the only real way to play is being "fast" so you can spam dodge. Also movement is TRASH and you need long reaching weapons, like the Scythe or halberd., the halberd specifically felt good after finding the sweet spot, but even them the combat is still terrible, the map is a mess and super dark, the main city is terribly designed and the "bonfires" are retarded and far in between. By the way they serve no purpose other than respawning, they don't recover health. --- Isometric souls-like wanna be with terrible and janky combat.

Sick art style, sick bosses, fun with friends, and intriguing story. What else do you need?
Reasonable hard combat. Can enjoy while having challenge progressing.
This game is well balanced and has an incredible storyline. The art is by far one of the most beautiful I have seen in many many years. It feels so warm and cozy despite being absolutely gruesome. I was shaken from a very early quest when talking to a child. But it made me really appreciate that this game was not holding back and the feelings. It was not pulling it's punches. I am very grateful to the team and continue to look forward to continuing the game and for the ultimate release of it.
Satisfying combat, game looks phenomenal
