Criminally underrated! Amazing story, stunning visuals... I was hooked from start to finish. Definitely gonna keep an eye out for anything by Poética Software from now on.
Intriguing plot and setting, with a touching and very real message at the end.. Also the art style and music are well crafted and fitting to the tone of the story. There are no cheap jumpscares, it's very tasteful. Played on a Steam Deck from start to finish, and the game has a native Linux build (it's RenPy).
Great little corporate horror VN with excellent visuals that perfectly suit, definitely can recommend. Some Yuppie Psycho vibes, but that could just be the whole "my soul-sucking workplace is going to Blood Hell" thing. Playtime is bloated because I work in an office myself and it's been extra stressful lately, so I took a few errand breaks and left it running lol - it's a pretty tight story that runs across 4-5 hours, full of neat spooky moments, character, and charm.

beautiful game. i went into it thinking it was going to be a horror game, but WOW it was way more than that. the dialogues about grief and work culture was done in an amazing way.
I had this game for a while and stretch the gameplay long enough to say I like it!!! The art style is a huge boost, and the game actually talks about a less talked-about theme: the finance live/adult living. Although it feels like the dialogue could be a bit more polished in the English context, the overall creativity tramps minor confusions I've had about the characters/plots. I really want to know what happened to the team afterwards!!--really hope there's more plots on April and Mia, as well as Wayne. I recommend this game to anyone who is intrigued by the art style because it is every bit as good as the art! (Except for on some occasions I fail to sympathize with the protagonist due to certain ways he is presented, but the game is a vibe)
i was interested in game from demo and i had quite high expectations. result did not disappoint at all. characters have their own personalities, which helps to empathize with them. as someone of about their age also working in an office (fortunately without overtime) i even associated myself with them. atmosphere is also well conveyed, sometimes calm and even cheerful, and sometimes tense and a little scary. i am very pleased with this game and kinda upset that so few people know about it. Ill definitely keep an eye on the developers' new games.
I finished this game just as I am working my first office job; capitalism is really sucking our souls, man ;-; The story is immersive and the art style is sooooo good. I wish that there was an 'unlocked artwork collection section' on the menu though since I want to look at the art again. Keep up the good work! This is an underrated VN for sure.
A very engaging horror visual novel that I really appreciated for taking it's desired themes and running as far as it could with them. It can be very on-the-nose, but I don't find that negative at all, it just helps the feelings resonate more for those who can relate. The art is very appealing, both in its approach to the normal environment and the horror elements, and the amount of writing and its quality is impressive. I'm looking forward to whatever else this team decides to do.
a very niche and passionate indie project that never got the chance to fully bloom, developed under highly unfortunate real-world conditions and facing ultimatums that essentially forced a complete reconstruction in under 4 months. yet despite all of this, NMWFI is still a beautiful and complete experience that manages to tell a unique story that uses creative design choices in order to touch on many disconnected themes that finally intertwine towards the end. As someone that doesn't even like VN's, my only complaint is that this game didn't get to blossom into the original vision that the writer clearly had. It seems that they really wanted this to be a lot bigger and I can still see some remnants from a game that never got fully finished. So whilst I'm very satisfied with the final product, I can't help but wonder what this could've been if they had enough resources to fully spread their wings.
I liked the first 4 hours a lot! Then it kind of dragged on and on. I think it’s almost over, but I’m going to quit without reaching the end bc I get the message and while I agree with it immensely, others have also said it’s a bit more heavy handed than I’d like. Good story and visual novel though.
